My painting: Peonies 国画 牡丹

It was the first time that I saw peonies of many colors in the park of Forbidden City, which happened in the spring of a long time ago. They were white, red, pink, yellow and clustered together in small groups with thick fragrance, attracting numerous visitors.

In China, peony has always been a symbol of prosperity, reposing people to wealth and auspicious wishes.

Today I would like to share with you the Chinese painting--peonies, which belongs to a classical subject matter in Chinese painting. There are many kinds of painting techniques about peonies and every school has its own technique. It is so elegant and graceful that we like to paint it. But for beginners, I think, it is a little difficult to paint for its multilayered petals. One can grasp the main points only if he need to notice them and do some exercises in normal times.
This time I chose the pink, of cause, you can choose whatever you like. The bottom line is controlling water.

第一次看到很多种颜色的牡丹是在北京故宫的后花园里，那是很久很久以前的一个春天。当时有白的，黄的，粉色的，一团团，一簇簇的吸引无数游客前来观赏。而旁边还有一片小竹林，又显得静谧深幽。在我国，牡丹一直都是吉祥富贵，繁荣昌盛的象征。

今天就给大家分享一下国画里的牡丹。牡丹花是非常典雅，大气的一种花形。五颜六色的，画好了非常好看。在国画里呢它也属于比较经典的一个题材。而且牡丹的画法有很多种，各家各派都不一样。对于初学者来说，牡丹其实还是很难画的。因为它的花瓣层次很多，不容易下笔。想要画好，唯有多多观察和练习了。
我今天分享的是最普通的颜色，粉色的牡丹。（当然颜色可以根据自己喜欢的随意调，最重要的是控制好水分。）

Material:

Chinese brushes
Chinese painting color
Xuan Paper (raw)
Chinese ink
wool felt （optional）

The Process:

先调白粉，然后用一只干净得毛笔沾湿，再加曙红，调成淡淡的粉色，最后笔尖蘸一点胭脂。这样调完一只毛笔不同部位就会有不同的颜色。然后就开始画花瓣了。从中间那层开始画起。（其实从哪层开始都可以。）

一片一片的一层一层的画。

最里面的部分就画完了。

开始画外侧的大的花瓣。

然后画花蕊，又画了一朵小花苞。

简单画一下牡丹花的枝干走向。

画上叶子，牡丹的叶子形状是三叉九鼎，画的时候可根据遮挡关系，随意添加。然后把下面的枝干加粗一下。

加一点竹子和围栏，点上湿地，牡丹花就完成了。
