Today's Painting #69 - Land of Peace and Love
Once upon a time, there's a wonderful and peaceful island hiding somewhere between the east and the west. People who are living in this place have no idea about war, killing or any other criminal acts. But, this condition wasn't last forever. Because....
A wild beast with tremendous power suddenly come to this place, without any warning everyone in this place fall, fall into a deep love of its cuteness, hahaha 😻 No one ever see this majestic creature, every part of this beast just so cute that make everyone overwhelming with its cuteness, even flowers start blooming in the winter! Yes, the condition in this place completely change after the appearance of the wild beast, it's become even better!
Ehem, excuse my stupid story, I just being hypnotized by this majestic creature to write a tale of its greatness... 😂 sorry, I'm a crazy cat lady, I can't resist not to write something stupid about my cat
Anyway Welcome to my Today's Painting. Recently I learn how to use watercolor properly, but... hmmm... I still thinking I like my style, mixing both watercolor and acrylic in a piece of painting. I use A6 paper to make this painting, so it's quite small. Anyway this place somehow remind me of Momoiro Island, the home of Kamabakka Kingdom.
Wait a minute, what da heck is Momoiro and Kamabakka? Well, it's an Island of Okama in One Piece, for you who don't have idea what is One Piece, hmmm... let it be... because....

As always I start by sketching
This time I try to use a technique someone teach me, she said "in watercolor start by painting the objects, and background should be the last, because watercolor should be transparent".
I'm not sure if I did it right, but... just keep painting, just keep painting, just keep painting 🐠
Hmmm, not so bad, but the trees wasn't blended with the surrounding... I think I still love my own technique, always start by the background... but... perhaps I will train myself to make a better painting with this technique
Looks like a super amateur try watercolor for the first time, hahaha, well... I'm an amateur, but I'll keep practicing

Very nice picture, @hananan ! I think you using pinks and soft colours really captured the theme of peace very well :) The fields of flowers, and the rolling hills and the sleepy village, also all embody a sense of calmness nicely <3

This painting still doesn't look like what I expected, I guess the proper way of watercolor is a little hard, yet, I always think there's no proper way in art, hahaha, but when I learn from a pro (an art graduated), she said my technique is wrong, so I tried to do as what she said...
