"H.V." digital collage part of Small Visions project
In this digital collage project i will present visually 80 organizations of Denmark. My client wants each artwork to be based on a photograph of a child who explains with a quote his/hers thoughts about the cause of the organization. It is an interesting project but very challenging, in one hand i am totally unfamiliar with the most of these organizations and on the other digital collage with Photoshop is something very new to me.
H.V's vision:
When people have been exposed to violence, we help them safely on in life.
Child's quote:
People, which have been exposed to violence, may be sad and and feel hurt in their body. Perhaps they are hiding, because they are afraid the evil person will return. But then, this association is like a turtle! They are like a shield protecting the afraid people, giving them courage to leave their hiding.

Ooh, stunning! Simple but layered. I'm impressed. I'm just learning to do digital collage myself (teaching myself Krita, rather than Photoshop) and it's totally overwhelming when it comes to choice! So many direction to go in, so much media out there to use.
Did the client give you just the idea and then they left it entirely up to you which direction you went with it?
Thank you very much, actually i am learning the photoshop too:) I ve started about 4 months ago but i have a lot of experience as handcut collage artist so i had an idea of how i should go. My client just want to include the child from the original photo he did not gave me any directions except to try to represent the organisation in a symbolic way. In this one i was based to the child's quote " But then, this association is like a turtle! They are like a shield protecting the afraid people, giving them courage to leave their hiding."

More positivity I guess here with all the birdies, and a more mother-like quality for some reason. But I miss the nice letters/font! .. The moon/sun/circle in the back looks kinda messianic around the kid like that.
Yes positive was the keyword for this artwork and the first looked kind of dark. I guess inspiration haw to do a lot with the artists mood))) The letters had to go to because my client decided not tohave them in all of the 100 artworks.. and thats a good thing because in this it looks good in other artworks it was a big problem.
