NIGHT OPS....
I got some new 3D models, added them to a few old ones, and painted up a storm! I plan to make a series of images based within a war torn future. The first was HALO Jump 2040, now its time for NIGHT OPS. This one took a little over 12 hours to get right, starting with a render from my 3D software, then painting the background and shadow toning the render. Add some lights, some weed brush, some broken buildings, some smoke and fog..... Well, it came to life! (full image below).
All rights to finished images are mine. All Models, brushes, and all other parts of my work are commercially licensed, allowing for the creation of images and videos for sale and broadcast. This is not an easy process, spending hours on concept, design, implementation, and lots of trial and error to get what I want from my software. However, the results I've been getting lately are well worth the effort!
I really like this one a lot. Hope you do too. Thanks for looking and if you get a chance, let me know what you think.
Have a great day!

Really impressive work of art! It is so dynamic and....3D!!!
I love how the darkness is too darkj till it becomes incomprehensible. Letting it breathe really brough out the details!
Thanks for sharing on PYPT and hopefully to see you there more often
Thanks, I had a lot of fun putting it together, glad you liked it!

Nice art, @dutybound! Are you using Blender? If so, you may be interested in @flora-francis' blog.
Hey, thanks. I use DAZ Studio and some models from DAZ3D. I'm a lot better at creating figures and props by combining, redesigning, and repainting models sold for commercial use. I then design the scenes, paint the backgrounds if needed and so on to get what I want. I've also created a few pose sets for DAZ 3D characters and sold retextured/designed models through them a few years back. I have tried blender, but when push comes to shove and I need to create something, I use Zbrush. Here are a couple of things I made with Zbrush. I will be checking her out though, thanks.

talented! i've gone through all your posts from start to finish today - and now i'm all caught up hehehehe
and that's my conclusion :)
you're talented! you've got a great eye - a fantastic imagination - definitely got the passion to see these things from start to finish.
your blog is great and i hope the best for you on Steem :)
glad that welcome wagon found you - and i hope that you learn everything you need to know from them and grow and thrive here!
Blue and Shadows are great teachers - patient - knowledgable and fun to talk to. plus - if youve been to PYPT with Shadows - you'll start to form your own following and stretch out
though - as i see your payouts - you're starting to make your mark :)
nice thing about a community that really supports one another outside of upvotes - is the comments and interaction.
not sure if that's your thing - but... it's a nice little perk from getting to branch out in shows and communities
hope you find what it is you enjoy here and thanks for bringing your talent! helps to make Steem better!
looking forward to your next post!

Wow! Thanks! Glad you like the work. Lots of fun on here and a great place to meet people and help others get their material out there and seen. I enjoyed a talk with Shadowpub already. I need to get at the training, just got set up, but my schedule isn't the greatest. Thanks for all the replies and votes, greatly appreciated. I try to comment on at least 3 posts a day for others, but again the timing. I do enjoy the whole Steemit thing, can't wait to get into it even more. Not sure when I'll post another piece, hoping soon, but this one will be a bit complicated, so take some time. Hopefully you'll get a kick out of it. Thinking of naming HOT LZ.... if it comes out right, should be pretty good. I'm making 6 black and white sci fi pieces, which I hope to make into a series of metal plate posters. But only if they rock. lol. Anyway, thanks for looking, glad you found the blog. Have a great day!
you too :)
yes i saw you joined the WW room - so i was excited they had gotten a new trainee and thought i'd come support you!
then i saw you had been here for 2 months so i wanted to get a good feel for your stuff! so... i went back to the beginning hahahaha
no need to reply to all my comments - LOL i commented on every single post hahahaha
just read them if you feel like it and move on with your awesome metal plate poster post! hehehe
