This painting had been in the process of studying for more than a month, its story begins in a medical office where my friends and I met to paint one day, this office is precisely the father of the young man who served as a model for this work , well ... Taking advantage of that day Dr. Ramรณn did not work, we used the tables in the waiting room and began to draw a small sunflower that was in a bottle, and at the end, something else caught my attention, one of my friends that I am teaching to draw, I was quite concentrated, almost in a trance with his own drawing still in process, I was honestly quite proud, it is gratifying to see how art begins to flood the soul of those who are just beginning. I began to draw with a graphite pencil a small composition using my partner as a model, who had not realized what I was doing, and after a while I could appreciate the first traces of this painting. A little more than a month later, when I already had adequate material, some canvases and a box of oil paintings, I decided to turn that little composition into a complete painting, to which I dedicated a whole day before finishing, and that was how "The Drawer" was born.
As for what this work represents for me, it is the frenzy and passion of the artist when he gives life to his works, because the greatest dedication is to leave part of our soul in each of our paintings, a sample of pure love because part of us remains forever marked among the colors of the most beautiful paintings, and that part of us never returns, and that is how the artist loses a piece of his very essence without regretting, because he voluntarily lets it escape, like a ship sailing without apparent destiny, for me, an attempt to be remembered even after life itself escapes me...

This process was quite simple, without much difference to the previous processes, I think that after so much there is not much to explain, I originally did not intend to use the pencil, I only thought to paint without any guidance, however I do not have much material (As always) so I reduced the margin of error to a minimum, I made the study sketch a couple of times before drawing it correctly on the canvas.
This is not a very colorful work, in general it has a Sepia tonality, and, despite the amount of colors that can be seen in the falls of the face and arm, a great opacity is noticed, poor illumination which gives it a Look pretty cold. As for the face, I was not supposed to draw it, the drawing as I originally thought it should not have a distinguishable face, however to be able to guide me as to the location of the elements, I drew it awkwardly, even knowing that I would not define the facial features later since the magic of the work, in my opinion, is mainly in the fall of the colors of the face.

This one is amazing, @connor-russo! And to be able to witness its evolution from the sketch stage, where we can see the form of the artist during his arting, drawing with full concentration, and then to see this evolve as you yourself pour part of your essence into your works, we see this in actual representation by the time it reaches its final form!
Powerful, very striking, and really thoughtful !
I love this piece very much <3
Thank you very much friend, I honestly owe this work to a good advice you gave me in my previous post, thank you very much for that! <3
Oh, haha, you are very welcomed <3 I didn't do much, just giving you some honest opinions <3
Keep up the wonderful work, @connor-russo !

Dude this is awesome! I really love it. So much emotion expressed here. The reflections under the arm on the table are really cool as well.
Hey you should really use #creativecoin tag on your creative / art posts. If you don't know about it, www.creativecoin.xyz is a steem mirror that only shows tags using #creativecoin tag - you can introduce your work to a broader audience, and also earn a second crypto (Creative Coin Crypto / CCC) just by using the tag. I think your work would go over well there. Cheers
Thanks dude!
Wow really cool painting. I love the dripping effect :)
Thanks!
