First Gouache Painting - Peek into my sketchbook
Good morning peeps!
Yesterday I got some new art supplies and that's always exciting for me. I just couldn't wait to start with them. I bought two new sketchbooks, one online - A5 amazon basics sketchbook and another square Noire sketchbook (20cm x 20cm), set of white charcoal pencils to work on black sheets and some wooden clips. You can see these things being used in the pictures here.
I have worked with gouache paints before but with other mediums as well. In this one I wanted to only work with them in my new practice sketchbook. This was a trial for a painting I want to create. I've had that idea in my mind for a while. But I still have to work it out a bit more.
This is my art spread :P
Here are my reference pictures from Pinterest.
Here we go with the process included.
So my focus here was to understand light and shadow and various color tones. How to work with the medium was major learning. I realized, I treated them more like watercolor because I'm used to them but they definitely work differently.
