Everyday art practice - Flower Illustrations
Art practice continues. Lately, I've been investing my time in trying out stuff that doesn't lie in my main domain. Flowers counted as one of those things for me. And I'm still a little awkward painting them. But I do enjoy their organic figures.
In this one, I like the color theme of brown and pink. It made me think of the times I had fun photographing bougainvillea with my friends in Jaipur.
Here are the pictures of my latest practice art :
It did make me think of all the artworks I did that involve flower illustrations. Most of these artworks are done in the past month or two. I discovered an artist on Instagram named "Randa Hadaadin" whose artwork I really admire and have learned a lot from.
I am really proud of the next two illustrations. And they are kind of my favorites. I developed these ideas without referencing them out of some pictures. While I don't mind using references because there was a time when I didn't and that would slow me down but to grow more requires more practice and references really help in that situation. But there's this amazing feeling when I create something out of a thought or express some feeling through my artwork that I feel gets lost with references.
