The Art of Quilling Paper - Busy bees
If you're not familiar with this art form, quilling is the art of rolling small strips of paper into coils. From a loose circle you can create different shapes like teardrop, marquise.
Supplies
● A4 coloured cardboard: yellow, orange, black and green
● slotted tool to make the curling coils (the pink tool)
● pencil to make the marks where to cut the cardboard
● glue
●scissors
The first step is to cut the 1cm wide 21cm long strips from the A4 paper. As mentioned before you can buy ready cut strips.
To make the bee I need 1and 1/2 black strip and two 1/2strips of yellow; and two little pieces of yellow to put on their body.
For the flower I will need one yellow strip, five orange strips, and three green strips and a long green one for the stem.
After I finished all the pieces including the leaves, made from teardrop shapes, I began gluing them on the white paper.
I hope you enjoyed today's example of quilling art. Make sure to check the Steemit logo if you missed it.
