Hay algo hermoso en dibujar gente del día a día, gente "real". Real para nosotros. Cuando dibujas a alguien habitual en tu vida, no solo dibujas sus gestos, dibujas también su timidez, su perplejidad, su seriedad o encanto. Es el caso de mis referencias. Con frecuencia me preguntan: si haces estos complejos dibujos con lineas en tan poco tiempo, por qué no hacer decenas de dibujos semanales. Es el caso de las referencias. A veces me veo obligada a imaginar personas. No siempre tenemos a alguien dispuesto a posar para nosotros, sin la vergüenza, con el tiempo, sin el prejuicio. Y aunque probablemente ustedes no conozcan este rostro, al que le llamaré Mujer anónima, yo si le conozco, y su rostro sencillo y su expresión un poco asustadiza me complace. Mil gracias a esta mujer anónima, y que lluevan más personas como ella dispuestas a regalarme su tiempo para plasmarlas en papel.

There is something beautiful about drawing everyday people, "real" people. Real for us. When you draw someone habitual in your life, you not only draw their gestures, you also draw their shyness, perplexity, seriousness or charm. It is the case of my references. I am often asked: if you make these complex drawings with lines in such a short time, why not make dozens of weekly drawings. It is the case of references. Sometimes I'm force to imagine people. And although you probably do not know this face, which I will call Anonymous woman, I do know her, and her simple face and her expression a little scary pleasures me. Many thanks to this anonymous woman, and that more people like her come ready to give me their time to translate their soul on paper.
