The Republic Square / Piazza della Repubblica / 共和广场

The Republic Square is not far from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. It is called the living room of Florence with many cafes and luxury hotels.

离开圣母百花大教堂不远就是共和广场。共和广场起源于古罗马时代，现在的共和广场有很多咖啡店和豪华酒店，仍是佛罗伦萨的客厅。

The Signoria Square / Piazza della Signoria / 领主广场

The Signoria Square is another important landmark of Florence. It is a L-shaped square in front of the Palazzo Vecchio, which is the city hall of Florence.

There’s a copy of Michelangelo's David statue as well as a gallery of status on the Signoria Square.

领主广场是佛罗伦萨另一个重要地标。它是旧宫（佛罗伦萨市政厅）前的一个L形广场。广场虽然不大，但是有不少知名雕塑。

Down Right: Fountain of Neptune
The Neptune statue on the square is a copy. The original statue is in the national museum. Some say that the face of Neptune here looks very similar to Cosimo.

其实广场上的海神塑像是19世纪的复制品，原作保存在国家博物馆。有人说这座海神的脸跟科西莫有点像。

There was a parade when we visited the square. But I still don't know what it is for....

我们去的时候正好碰上游行，我至今也不知道是啥游行。。。

Old Bridge / Ponte Vecchio / 老桥

The Arno river crosses the city of Florence. People in Florence had a love and hate relationship with the river – it brings live and businesses to the city, but it also flooded the city several times in the history.

Ponte Vecchio is the most famous bridge on the Arno river. Butchers initially occupied the shops on the bridge. Today the tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers.

There is an elevated enclosed passageway on the old bridge, which was motivated by Cosimo’s desire to move freely between his residence and the government palace.

阿诺河横贯整个城市，可以说是佛罗伦萨人民的母亲河，然而历史上这条河也曾带来数次泛滥的洪水，因此佛罗伦萨人对阿诺河爱恨交加。

老桥是阿诺河上的桥梁中最有名的一座。本来老桥上是肉市，后来因为味道的问题，肉市被撤，改由珠宝商人和金匠入驻。如今桥上还是有很多卖珠宝手表的小店。老桥上层的瓦萨利走廊是应科西莫的要求建造的，原来专供贵族行走。

Walking across the old bridge to the other side of the Arno river, you can find two beautiful gardens - the Bardini Garden and the Boboli Garden.

Bardini Garden / Giardino Bardini / 巴尔蒂尼花园

The Bardini Garden is a hidden gem compared with all the attractions we mentioned before. It is beautiful when the flowers bloom. You can overlook the city from the Bardini Garden.

跟河对岸那些大名鼎鼎的人文景观相比，巴尔蒂尼花园可以说是秘密花园了。春暖花开的时候尤其美，错过了花季，遥望城市景观也是极好的。

The Boboli Gardens / Giardino Boboli / 波波里花园

The Boboli Gardens used to be private gardens of the Medici family. Now it is open to public. You can find a collection of sculptures dating from the 16th to 18th centuries here.

波波里花园曾经是美第奇家族的花园。现在对公众开放，你可以在这里找到16世纪到18世纪的许多雕塑。

That concluded my journey in Florence. I know there are still many places I haven't visited. I'll definitely be there again!

我的佛罗伦萨之旅到这里就结束了，由于时间的关系，还有很多地方没有去。但我知道，我一定会再去佛罗伦萨的。
