Lake Como, My Europe Memories 4.1 科莫湖 欧洲记忆之四

I like May in Germany, not only for the nice weather, but also for the public holidays, for example, Ascension Day, Pentecost, Corpus Christi. To us, it means instead of weekend trip, we have 4 days to explore a further country.

We drove down to Italy for our first 4-day break. Our route was Lake Como - Milan - Florence - Cinque Terre. Today I'm going to talk about Lake Como.

我非常喜欢德国的五月，不仅因为天气宜人，更因为五月的公众假期特别多，例如耶稣升天节、五旬节、基督圣体圣血节。对我们来说，这些公众假期给了我们更多游山玩水的时间。

在德国的第一个耶稣升天节是周四，于是我们请了一天假，一路南下，从科莫湖到米兰到佛罗伦萨再到五渔村。今天要讲的就是科莫湖。

Lake Como

Driving across Switzerland, you'll arrive in Como shortly after you leave the border of Switzerland.

This area is famous for the Lake Como and many beautiful villas (and don't forget the delicious Italian food😄), which attract many visitors.

Lake Como is a lake of glacial origin. It is the third-largest lake in Italy, and one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

The lake is shaped like an upside-down Y. The most famous landmarks are the resort town of Bellagio, and the Villa del Balbianello.

It's a very relaxing area. You can walk around the lake, take a boat, or just stand and watch like the couple on the first photo. I wish I had more time in Lake Como.

科莫湖

从德国出发，开车穿过瑞士，一出边境就到科莫了。

科莫湖的湖光山色和附近众多秀美的庄园（以及美味的意大利食物😄）每年都吸引着众多游客前来观光避暑。

科莫湖是阿尔卑斯山脉的一个冰川湖，意大利第三大湖，欧洲最深的湖之一。科莫湖被周围的山川包围呈Y字型，最著名的景点是贝拉角和星战别墅。

无论是散步、坐船、还是像上一张照片上的老夫妇一样只是站着观景，都是科莫湖正确的打开方式。真希望当时能有多一些时间在科莫啊。

Villa Carlotta

The Villa Carlotta is a botanical garden and art museum in Tremezzo on Lake Como. It is a nice place overlooking the lake and the mountains around.

Carlotta庄园

Carlotta庄园是科莫湖边那些美丽的庄园之一，现在是植物园和艺术博物馆。庄园不大，但你可以在庄园俯瞰科莫湖。

Villa del Balbianello

The Villa del Balbianello is another famous villa in Como. It has been used for many films, including Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones (2002). Unfortunately it was closed the day we visited. So I can only attach a photo from pixabay.com.

BTW, Google says the villa is temporarily closed. Make sure you check the information before your visit.

星战别墅

星战别墅其实叫Balbianello庄园，是很多电影的拍摄地，最广为人知的便是星战二克隆人的进攻，因此很多国人称之为星战别墅。

可惜我们去的时候没做好功课，没有开放，只能放上一张pixabay.com上找到的照片。我刚才谷歌的时候发现星战别墅暂时关闭了，大家去之前先查一下不要像我们那样😳

One fun fact
I think Italian is similar to Chinese in many aspects.

At the time we visited Como, we didn't have pocket wifi, nor did we have mobile data. We were wondering if we can walk from Villa Carlotta to Villa del Balbianello. We asked one local people, and he said, it's very near, only 2km. We thought it's acceptable. However, we didn't see any villa after walking for about 15min. So asked another local people, he said exact the same sentence - it's very near, only 2km.

In China, sometimes we use the number two to indicate an estimated range, not necessarily to be exact two in number. Maybe it is the same case in Italy?😄

一件趣事

我觉得意大利人在很多方面都跟中国人很像。

我们去意大利玩的时候没有移动无线网，也没有用流量。当时我们在想能不能从Carlotta庄园步行去星战别墅，就问了一个路过的意大利人。他很热情地说，这地方很近呀就两公里。我们想两公里小意思就往前走了，然而走了快一刻钟也没看到个庄园的影子，便又问了一个路人。他也很热情地给了我们一模一样的回答，很近两公里。

在中国，有时候我们说两只是一个估计值。我一直在想，是不是意大利也一样呢？还是纯属是意大利大叔本人不靠谱？😄
