Walking Upstairs Colorado State Capitol Building Denver architecturalphotography
This is the main staircase off the rotunda and is all in gold like the rest of the building. It was built at the and of the 1800’s and is impressive at every turn. I got a chance to tour it when I visited Denver in 2011 and was very shocked at how luxurious it is.

This is my entry for the #architecturalphotography @photocontests by @juliank. I had a point and shoot camera on my trip to Colorado, but I don’t remember what type it was.
I lived in Denver for a time and when I saw this, I was like, “Hey! I know that place!” You got a good shot of it. I enjoyed your pictures of the airport as well.
Thank you for the nice comment! Those murals in the airport are quite creepy, not what you'd expect in an airport.

Really cool looking. I recently went to the state capital in Nevada and wasn't terribly impressed.
