Resilience — Animal Photography
This is a little goat I met in an area of the Botanical Garden of Mérida, called BioContacto. Where we could approach and share with certain animals such as sheep, small horses, llamas, alpacas, among other animals.
This area of the garden is also a refuge for animals that have a health problem, such as this goat. The guide told us that when the goat was very small, it became entangled in a barbed wire in the Hacienda to which it belonged. Sadly, she lost one of her paws and they were going to sacrifice her. A kind veterinarian offered to cure her and rehabilitate her by placing a prosthesis for her leg. And now this beautiful Goat has a family of different animals in the botanical garden of Mérida and pampered by its caretakers.
The sweet but scary goat is an example of resilience.
