Today's photo is "Contemplation". The photo is of a celebes crested macaque.

When I took this photo, I wondered, what is he thinking? I stayed a while, and he never moved, just sat there thinking and contemplating something.

Celebes Crested Macaque Facts!

• The Celebes crested macaque is a rain forest dweller.
• Macaque spends about 60% of its time on the ground and 40% in the forest canopy.
• The macaques is an "old world monkey" and is of the same species branch as the baboon.
• The macaque is jet black with reddish-brown eyes
• The macaque live in groups from 5 to 25 in size; females generally outnumber males 4 to 1.
• The Macaque's pregnancy is about 175 days. They give birth to a single young.
• The young are nursed for about one year, and the young become fully mature at three years.
• The crested black macaque is listed critically endangered and is hunted for bushmeat.
