A Sleepy Yorkie! ~ Animal Photography

This is a photo of a little Yorkie dog having a nap. The Yorkie belongs to my cousin that I was visiting for the day about a year ago. This is a Teacup Yorkie and is full grown. She has him as a pet so she didn't get him to show or breed. To show a Teacup Yorkie at a show then he would need to be no more than six inches tall and fall into other show guidelines. I believe he does fall into that height range but she just wanted a little dog as a companion. Even though he's little, he is quite the little ball of energy! It was hard to get a photo of him because he was so excited at having company that he just wanted to run around and get pets and attention. When he wasn't doing that then he was napping which weren't very long naps either. Some people say that Yorkie's can be aggressive (in a little dog way) but I've only ever met two Yorkie's and they were both a bit hyper and yet very well behaved. I think them being hyper was just being overly excited at new people being around. One was a regular sized Yorkie whose name was Princess which was fitting because her owner pampered her like a princess and the other was this Teacup Yorkie whose name is Tinsel.
