How can I explain myself to you?

Yes I'm an anarchist but ...

As I spoke about in my last post I would class myself as an anarchist. Today is about how I communicate this to those around me. I will be honest I am not as open about this way of thinking as I would like to be. This is purely from a worry of judgment, which I know I should not allow to get to me but at work this could have repercussions. You might say I should not be working in a place that would frown on me for my views but this is the reality of todays society!

Most friends either think I'm off the wall, agree to an extent and others completely agree. As for my family I don't necessarily use the word 'Anarchist' but make my views clear. The parents kind of see my viewpoint and agree on a small level but unfortunately my sisters are complete statist to the extent they don't even agree banks are deliberately trying to create more debt and think I'm a 'conspiracy theorist ' for mentioning it. They keep telling i'll grow out of it. My brothers are there, although they live their lives and choose to ignore the problems.

When I do say i'm an anarchist I do feel obliged to say "but proper anarchy not the propaganda driven version where there is violence and chaos". But this feels like I am explaining myself when in reality I am trying to portray the truth; however i'm not sure it comes across this way.

How do you explain?

In this day and age when society if breaking down it is easier to explain the ethos behind anarchy for sure. The average Joe sees that the country / world is rapidly going down hill for what ever reason. However many still think a selection where we choose another puppet will solve all the problems.

Too explain to a lot of my friends and some colleagues I went down the bank route. Explaining about the debt and how high street banks can only exist by creating debt. This generally is my assessment if you like to see how awake people are. If they get this then I will move onto crypto and explain the difference between law and acts etc. What I sometimes struggle with is the solutions, many people agree with the problems but are of the opinion we can't change it so just have to conform!

In response to the "we can't change things" conformity line I give the anarchy solution. Then you open the can of worms "what chaos!" We have the discussion about how anarchy is peaceful and does not involve the violence that the propaganda media feeds the masses. The conversation normally goes onto the "But who will run the country?" type. The reply to this is "well the government is basically a middle man who take our money and pays a private company, more then likely connected to them in someway to do the job". Generally this gets a raised eyebrow or two then often a cog or two start clicking. From here I can then build and talk about controlling people; if there was no government or laws do you really think everyone would go wild and chaos would reign? No is the answer, from most but some fear this. I bring in the example "ok ok look at it this way if I told you murder was no longer a crime would you go out and hack to death as many people as you could?" "Well no i'm not evil" is the jist of most peoples answer. The sadistic person might reply they'd give it a go (says a lot about some of my friends, haha). After this point I then point out some people would but surely these are the people who do it anyway and currently end up in jail; point being a law is not stopping those with no morals.

Then I come unstuck...

After a lengthy conversation with my wonderful lady friend she saw the benefits and my point; but what about education? Now this stumped me obviously I disagree with the current education system (that's another post), but how would it work? I guess kids would learn by being shown by parents or the community. I do agree education is essential; the right education of course. But what is the right education? One that fits the child's skills, learning style and interests! How do we tackle this one I mean I would say community teaching for those this fits or people just pay private like everything else. Her response and a good one was that of how do the stop the school having an agenda and selecting and rejecting pupils? Also schools who have the most income will afford better resource and poorer areas will not have the resources to provide a good education (I'm not getting into content on this post). A valid point now with policing (protection) and most other services you just go to an alternative but schooling seems a tricky one to address to me. I don't this there would be a selection of affordable schools to choose. Then I come unstuck!

The next stage...

To me anarchy is the clear way forward, obviously it won't happen over night and there will be teething problems. I need to have a better resource for my explanations before I can successfully convince the masses. There are certain scenarios where I can't provide a good enough argument currently. Added to this is the words I use; maybe anarchist as a description has been too tainted but the propaganda media to use in this situation? I sometimes use the word agorism introduced to me by @dbroze and this is a philosophy I follow and try to live my life by. Personally I think this is the best approach by changing the way you live will in turn influence people around you by example. I try and do this where I can, people see the benefit to the way I live without having to be explained the thinking and ethos behind these actions. To be honest I don't like labels.

Seeing myself as a communicator I need to look at my approach moving forward. Not going into deep maybe and directing people to posts and videos containing in depth explanations. Also pointing out the inadequacies of the current system and directing to alternatives such as from Facebook to Steemit!

In conclusion we all have our role in assisting the human consciousness to change, sometimes I try and go above my abilities. So I need to direct to the resources that are there in the community to explain myself. We con only do this together as a community 😁

Sort:

When my partner and I first discussed anarchy, she went absolutely wild and took as many defensive stances as possible. She could not understand that I was not talking about anarchy as a form of chaos, but rather as a form of independent rule. Over the course of the past year, we've talked more and more about it, and she's finally understood where I am coming from - though I don't know if she thinks it is the right idea or not heh.

I find it fascinating that the word anarchy has become such a sacred taboo of society, that any mention of such will immediately stir the fire.

Yes it's kind of sad the word has been tainted but as I pointed out its a good challenge to try and vocalise the meaning using different words. I am finding more and more people like my way of thinking they just freak when you say anarchy but when you explain it as what I think and how we should live they agree.

My other half kinda of agreed but was apprehensive. I think she know my way of thinking first and mostly agreed but the word anarchy threw her too. People will come around eventually 💯🐒

exactly, that is why I call it voluntaryism to get the message across easier.

yes the meaning of many words that could help see through the fog has been inverted. So it is very difficult to convey something to the people who have not awakened yet. Good article @vibeof100monekeys

Many thanks! And yes I agree but I am determined to find ways slowly and breaking down that programming in all I can. Thanks for the support 💯🐒

If I so much as BREATHE the word crypto people change the subject in a microsecond.. I'm outright dismissed. Meh.

I have ideas about education for sure. It's needed, but like with banking, there has to be massive upheaval. I do think universities are interested in New models, but then, they are a money making business like anything else. I've seen some interesting education models I should consider posting on, but always try to separate my job from steemit as steemit is an escape from that for me!

There's a lot of talk around me about crypto mainly due to me. But quite a few people I am associated with have Bitcoin or have heard about it. I promote it actively and people in work often ask me about it. Mainly out of interest but its a start.

There are options for education nearly all better then the current parrot learning we currently have. I think its for another post I am doing some researching into it currently. I'm all for children identifying there interests and getting education form an experienced that field. Other than that learning on through play and normal life, teaching when they ask a question books parents advising etc. But I'll write in more detail dreckly.

Keep on mentioning the crypto, people will start listening 💯🐒

I agree re kids. I'll come back and chat 're that soon.. beddy byes now... 🛌
