Steemit As Pioneer of CRYPTO-CLASSISM: Hierarchy of Minnows, Dolphins & Whales. Hypocrisy of Pseudo-Anarchist Whales
The core design of Steemit supports and favours hierarchy and divisions between people. It suppports consolidation of power in the highest class of Steemit community - the ones with the highest Steem Power or so called "whales".
Whales - the ones who are wealthy enough to spend large amounts of bitcoin (or fiat currency) to acquire Steem Power, or tiny amount of lucky few who earned the Steem Power by being lucky to have their post being picked by some whales.
Those divisions between minnows, dolphins and whales is just pure example of social stratification and just another projection of greedy capitalism. It is nothing more but CRYPTO-CLASSISM.
All the structure of Steemit is far from revolutionary or anarchist.
The most ironic and pathetic is the hypocrisy of all those self appointed anarchist whales. They pretend to support anarchism while at the same time perpetuate classism, hierarchy, inequality, greed, egotism and divisions. All they do is verbal masturbation and mutual, exclusive admiration of each other (upvoting each other's posts and multiplying profits). No wonder that many of them tend to get attracted to such bullshit pseudoscientific, pseudo-anarchism called anarcho-capitalism.

Allthough I do not fully agree on your post, I have to say that steemit and steem is an experiment, and we still need to see how this experiment plays out over a longer period of time.
I am also a little sceptical that Steem and Steemit is the final and successfull implementation of the ide of "social medie on the blockchain". Forinstance its not so logical to understand the 3 cryptocurrencies of steem, steempower and steemdollar.

Yes yo are right. It is an experiment but we should be honest about how it works and not pretend that it is something else than it actually is. They are few definitions on Steemit. Some say that whales are those who have got hundreds of thousadns of Steem Power.
I consider anyone who has acquired more than 1500 Steem Power to be a dolphin. If you wanted to buy this amount of SP, you would need to spend about 5 BTC, which is few thousand dollars. Not many can afford that.
Anyone above 5000 Steem Power is a whale to me. This amount of Steem Power, already has significant effect on your voting.

Thanks for reply. Many minnows have been saying the same thing as you but this initiative does not come from whales. Whales do not make any effort to change the "status quo" (obviously). It seems like they just ignore it or refuse to actively and effectively address the problem.
