Anarchaforko Anarchapulco Fork Update: Spotlight on Hotel Copacabana and Conference Center

The very first Anarchapulco was held at Hotel Copacabana here in Acapulco and that’s where we will be holding the second annual @anarchaforko! We partnered with them last year for reduced rate hotel rooms but this year have partnered again, but this time for the conference facilities as well!

I often have people ask about hotel accommodations and think it’s time we stop and shine the spotlight on our venue!

We’ve made a deal for cheaper hotel rooms as well as for both of the large conference halls they have. The Copacabana complex is actually pretty interesting because the Hotel facilities are separate from the conference facilities which are actually on the Costera, the main road through Acapulco that runs along the coast.

We have three packages available for Anarchaforko 2019, we’ve outlined them here previously but I figure below I’ll lay out some numbers for you to ponder as well as some conversions. I don’t think in dollars but I know many of you, do.

All Inclusive: This package includes three buffet meals, free drinks at Las Margaritas Bar specifically and the room with view of the Ocean. There are different rates depending on how many people will be in each room, up to four people for an even cheaper possibility. For single occupancy that works out to about 6000 pesos or around 300 USD for hotel and food for the whole Anarchaforko main event. It takes the sale of just over two tickets to cover the all inclusive experience!

Double Person Package:

This ones an inbetween, you get a double bed room and it comes with breakfast for two people for every day you’re there. This one is great for those interested in adventuring to other restaurants for lunch and dinner, which we recommend because there are a lot of good and cheap options to choose from in that area. So this package is 1680 pesos per night, or 5040 for the three nights. At current exchange rates that’s about 250 dollars for TWO people to stay at the Copacabana with Free Buffet Breakfast!

Just a Room:

The third package is simple, for those who just want the room and nothing else. The room of course gets you access to pool areas but there’s no food or drinks included in the price which is perfect for some people. At current exchange rates for the three nights its about 215 dollars USD, which is less than half of what an Anarchapulco ticket currently costs!

So there are two restaurants in the hotel that offer buffet and one of the bars is fair game for the all inclusive package, but there’s much more than that at the Copacabana. There’s a snack bar by the pool, and three different bars, one of which called Bar Agave has live Mexican dancing.

There’s also plenty to do, between the pool, the kids care area for adults with young kids and the surrounding area outside of the hotel. We picked Hotel Copacabana because of it’s location, which is basically smack in the center of Acapulco. There’s lots to do in the immediate area around the hotel including a recreation center right across the street from the hotel, advertising crossfit and more!

I didn’t realize this until today but apparently there’s even a giant chessboard on site, which sounds like fun to me. The hotel is right on the beach and offers somewhat private access with Copacabana umbrellas. The pool and jacuzzi area is available to all guests as well. There’s also a medic, a travel agent and lavanderia (business that washes clothes) on site! For those trying to keep active, there’s a gym in the hotel as well as free gyms scattered throughout the city for those who want to find them.
