My Daily walk looking for greens

For today's walk, I was looking for the color green for Color Challenge Thursday Green hosted by @kalemandra, I am glad it wasn’t Friday and looking for blues as its a cloudy rainy day and not much blues around but there was plenty of greens as I will share.

I lower than normal step count today but I am trying to be somewhat sensible and let thee blister on my foot heal a bit, which clearly I did not do to well at looking at my step count for today I thought I would be closer to 5k today and did 11K steps

Starting with a mix of man-made and natural greens with the tree and the Greens of the TD Bank

I have walked down this street many a time but never really focuses on the roof/Awning of this Chinese restaurant, but today with its green color I thought it was worth a shot

I was pretty lucky this morning,I got to the train station before the rain started really coming down but i was undercover then, and the same when getting to the city for my walk to the office it was only lightly raining as you can see in the next shot with the wet roads and the person with the umbrella.OK let me divert for a second I have a thing about people with umbrellas in the city, any sign of rain people open them up and seem to keep them out even if the rain stops, and so many people have no regards for others while walking down the street, you really have to watch out and be dodging them, Plus unless its raining hard and I want to keep my camera bag dry I never use mine, including this morning i had one in my backpack but it was only light rain so I did not bother using it

These watermelons were outside the Amish Store ready to be put on the shelves, its funny while commenting on a post from @hangin, he mentioned prices in Bangkok for produce were so reasonable, I saw at lunchtime in another deli, whole watermelons were selling for $15 and he mentioned you could get them in Bangkok for $2

And in the flower section of another deli was this flower

I wasn’t so happy with. The last flower shot so when I went for lunch I got a couple of more shots of flowers, One very green at this stage but soon will change colors to a lovely shade of purple-red based on other ones near it

And one last flower this one not green at all but surrounded by Greens and so beautiful I had to get a shot of it, I took my big camera out of my bag today as I didn't want to be tempted to go for a walk and get photos since I am trying to take it easy today, but seeing this Nd other roses in the garden, I suspect I will be putting it back into my work bag tonight and if the sun comes out tomorrow getting some shots of the roses in bloom

I really like the shot of the umbrella. Thursday green leading into Friday blue. Very vivid and colorful.

The first and last photos look like animated.

I would love to have some watermelon right now. $15 is too expensive. We can buy at $2 or less depending on how much it weighs.

I would like to add to the those using umbrellas. I find it inconsiderate that they are the ones who will walk under the shade and not close their umbros splashing and wetting everyone and everything around them.

Dang! $15 for a watermelon? That is just nuts! It is mostly water, so they are basically charging you that much for water :P Nice shots. Take it easy and let your foot heal!

Yeah it is cray for sure, I was shocked when I saw the price, mind you the price of a bottle of water a small Poland spring varies from $1 to $3 around Midtown East needless to say I get mine from the $1 place

I am not good at taking it easy,, but. With the three day weekend I willl do my betst to take it easy

Howdy JJ! this is a great post for the color challenge my gosh, wonderful sights! I never thought of people with umbrellas on the street but yes you surely would have to dodge them! I guess you don't use one?

Thanks, Ohh yes in the busy streets and with so many using umbrellas it can be an obstacle course LOL
On rainy days I do carry an umbrella in my bag, but unless it is pouring down but I seldom use it and mainly only to keep my bag and camera dry
