I write these weekly reports to keep our mentors motivated as we move along in the Actifit mentorship program.

From the interaction in the Discord Mentor chat room, it is important that we keep the communication going so that we can follow up on the progress of the mentoring work.

As the mentors go forward in action, we also become more aware of the challenges that they face in the mentoring process.

For this reason, the founder @Mcfarhat set up a #mentor-chat room in Actifit Discord for our mentors to interact with each other. It is important that we keep the interaction going so that we can all help one another out in overcoming all challenges in the mentorship program.

We invite all the 12 Actifit mentors to participate. If you have questions, please ask away.

B. New Arrangement for the Sign Up Page

One of my goals in setting up the Actifit mentoring program is to reach out to people outside of Steem to use the Actifit app.

Recently, I came to realize one of the big challenges that our Actifit mentors are facing. There is a sign-up fee for their mentees to join Actifit. I have completely forgotten this aspect of the sign-up fee.

Yesterday, the founder @Mcfarhat created a promo code for our 12 Awesome mentors to help their mentees to sign in with a free account. Please get in touch with @Mcfarhat or me to get the promo code.

Some of our awesome mentors have been paying the sign-up cost in the last 2 weeks. You can now request a refund from the founder in this new set up system.

With this new arrangement, our mentors can also let the mentees know that there is a 10 SP delegation to help the newbies to get involved right away by posting their activities.

C. Actifit Users that have not reached 5000 Steps

Last week the following question was raised:

If a steemian has a few actifit posts , but all of them are below 5000, i.e. zero rewarded activities. is he eligible to be my mentee? I assume yes?

I talked with @mcfarhat and decided that if our mentors want to mentor those who have downloaded actifit app but had not reached 5000 steps yet, they can go ahead and mentor these inactive users.

If you have friends who are in this category, they can be your potential mentees as we want to help all Actifit users to be active using the app.

These inactive users probably need some personal guidance from our mentors.

Please, remember to take a screenshot of their zero activity as you start mentoring them.

D. Progress Report from Our Actifit Mentors

Last week, I wrote a report requesting our 12 awesome Acifit mentors to share with us the progress of their mentoring work.

In the short report, I asked them to share with us hints and tips of their mentoring work. In their reports they addressed some of these issues:

• Are you able to onboard new users outside of Steem?

• Do you find it easier to onboard new users who are already on Steem?

• What are some of the challenges you are facing in the mentoring program?

• How many mentees are you able to get in the last couple of weeks? In no way are we in any competition because rewards will be given to 10 mentees reaching ten days of activities. I just want to get a general idea of what the situation is so that I can monitor the mentoring progress better.

• Share with us tips that have worked for you in mentoring Actifit users.

• Share with us what doesn't work quite well for you in the Actifit mentoring process.

We have received this great report by @chesse4ead on Hints and Tips for Actifit Mentors

@Cheese4ead has given fantastic tips to our mentors and the progress he is making with his mentees.

He set up Team Gazza in motivating and inspiring his new mentees. This is such a super initiative where he keeps the communication and interaction moving forward with the mentees activities.

So far his Team Gazza members include: @shakkei, @momijiscrypto, @foxyspirit, @mono.rosado, @pennio, @wales, and @theunderbaker. We welcome you all to join the Actifit journey.

You can choose a name for your team to keep the momentum going in your follow up with your mentees.

Mentoring work is not easy. It takes lots of patience and wisdom to help a newbie to gain some initial success.

E. Next Upcoming Event: May 22, 2019

Now that the mentorship program has already begun for 3 weeks, we want to invite all our 12 Actifit mentors to get more involved in the #mentor-chat room so that we can hear about your progress.

From direct communications with some of the mentors, I know that some of them are doing quite well in their mentoring work.

I invite all the 12 mentors to continue to write updated reports to share with us what works for you so that we can grow the Actifit community together form strength to strength.
