Happy Birthday for tomorrow. You will have to find some string and make a ghetto Fitbit strap to keep you going. Awesome photos, it’s funny they don’t allow pictures in a certain area - make me wonder what they are hiding. I Beth the helicopter ride was awesome- i would love to do that one day.

Thanks man! Haha yea I may have to do that. I am using Actifit's in built step counter and I think it's overly generous with the step count seeing as I've only done 5km of walking and most of the day has been in a bus - it says 30k+ steps haha!

I think it's to preserve the traditions of the Aborigines as some knowledge has to be earned.

Ah the helicopter ride was amazing man, the views up there were so good!

Beautiful sunrise and sunset, even out of nowhere, it's still beautiful!

Thanks a lot @roselifecoach! More details and pictures to come on Uluru and these magnificent sites in a few months time 😁

We hope we could ease the pain a bit of the broken Fitbit!

Hahaha I appreciate that! My heart did sink a little when I couldn't fix the strap back together and saw it had somehow snapped.

You did very well with  your Fitbit for it to last 2.5 years.  My first one broke within a year and the replacement stopped syncing within the next year as well.  Btw, did you know you can get a free replacement if it breaks within a year?  Got to give credit to Fitbit in that respect, they even sent mine out to Taiwanwithin a couple of weeks after I reported it.

This is the second time the damn strap has broken but I fear I will have to pay for a new one now as it's well out of warranty. Maybe the charge 3 could be an option with its water resistance?

Yes fitbit have been good as well, they sent a replacement strap FOC when I wrote to them about it breaking before. I'll just have to use the in app step tracker for Actifit for now though

Hi @nickyhavey, this post was nominated to my latest upvote giveaway by @gabrielatravels. I host this weekly series to support good but undervalued posts created on the Steem blockchain. I really liked this travel post, the photos of Uluru are just amazing. Keep up the great work :)

Ah wow thank you very much, I just saw the tag from @gabrielatravels on your post as well. I'm glad you liked the photos, I am just posting micro blogs at the moment via Actifit as I'm keeping fairly active and will be posting the bigger blogs when I get back next week 🙂

Uluru is an amazing place, would highly recommend if you haven't been already

Cool :) I will stop by to check them :) You are also welcome to submit some of those shots to the Australian Monday Photo Contest by @czechglobalhosts ;)

Ah nice one! I did just see a post by @czechglobalhosts that Gabriela tagged me in so will try to remember to submit a pic from Australia. I did take loads so it will be difficult to know which one to select haha!

A great birthday present indeed! How nice was it to be in the presence of such an important place! And so generous of the people to share the land for people to see. I think that is so wonderful! As long as it is not abused of course.

Beautiful pictures once again!

Thanks meuf, yea I am grateful to have been here for my birthday. Even though I've been ill on the day itself, this whole trip has been one big gift that kept on giving and I've loved it all!

You're right about the abuse though. People need to show a lot more respect for the history and culture of the Aborigines and not think so shallowly about that "instagram moment".

Someone has Partiko now 😉

I'm just happy you got to be there for such an important day to celebrate. an experience like no other!

I am Glad you think that way. Very important. The more people think like this and respect, the less destruction there is 💛

Yep partiko it is 😁

Posted using Partiko Android

It really was an experience like no other! I don't know if it will be possible to beat that but knowing my competitive spirit, I'm going to try!

We can but hope people care enough about it meuf and those that do stop those that don't from parading around like they own the place.

The next place would have to be like an Amazonian jungle stumbling upon an undiscovered pyramid of sorts and venturing it for the first time lol.

Posted using Partiko Android

Haha that could be interesting indeed! Not been to South America before so I'd like to visit a few places. There's actually loads of options in Europe as well that I'd like to explore and it's a little easier to get to 😁

There is so much to see, it would be impossible to see every nook and cranny in this world. You are on a great start!

Life is short hey. Need to see as much as we can in the short time we have 🙂
