Looking Back / Looking Forward - Pilot Post for a weekly contest
The point of this contest is to write a post following the #ccc rules about something that you either enjoyed doing over the past week, or are looking forward to doing in the coming week.
This is my pilot entry to the pilot contest 😁 in support of this contest.
Looking back the past week or so, I was and am still happy that I got to spend Mother's Day with my mum and my family. Prior to that day, my brother and I pre-ordered a bouquet of flowers (a mix of red and pink carnations with baby breath flowers) to be delivered to my mum on Mother's Day. In addition, I carefully chose a card, wrote a poem and gave it to her on the day we had dinner together to celebrate Mother's Day. I also made this for her, part of the #needleworkmonday String Art Contest project.
We arranged to meet at the restaurant and the moment I saw my mum, I wished her Happy Mother's Day! and handed her the cards. She was pleasantly surprised. She thought we were just having dinner and a nice dinner we had. We had the Mother's Day dinner at a neighbourhood Japanese restaurant with a variety of Sushis, Yakisoba, Japanese garlic fried rice and Tempura. The restaurant also gave all mothers a special heart shaped Sushi with edible flowers spread over the sushi.
It was a good time catching up, laughing, chatting and spending time with family, something I am thankful for each day.

It rained heavily towards the evening but I managed to collect the steps walking (many rounds 😅) around the house and the carpark. 
Sounds like an excellent way to spend mother's day, I'm sure she really appreciated.
