My Actifit Report Card: March 24 2019 - Butterfly!
10K on another nice day! ☀
The sun was out again and I was walking on the walking trail again. I went by the area that had the purple clovers, which I mentioned yesterday, but today I left them alone and didn't pick any.
I did see a beautiful yellow and black butterfly dancing around in front of me. I stopped to take a picture but she was too elusive. I was happy that she was near me for a while oh, so I could watch her flitter around.
When she left I started thinking that maybe she was a reincarnation or a visitation of the soul I recently visited in the cemetery. But I realize my mind Wanted to believe that, even though I know as a person of science that it's not the case. Still, it was nice and a bit emotional to think she was dancing with me once again.
The beauty of the butterfly combined with the raw reality of concrete things like iron and stone got me thinking about the band, Iron Butterfly. Many people may have heard their song In-a-gadda-da-vida, but there's another one that I like just as much. I think it shows what they were all about. They play a combination of heavy iron metal music but also some beautiful butterfly passages straight from classical music.
Check out this song called, Most Anything You Want, by Iron Butterfly from the late 60s.

No crimson in clover today! I have a couple of butterfly bushes in front on the house and I love to watch them flitting around the flowers. Come on summer! I liked that Iron Butterfly song too. We need to have a music appreciation night, I think we're musical soul mates, lol.
Butterflies are cool to watch!
You reminded me of that awesome Tommy James and the shondells song. I'll have to include that in an upcoming actifit report. I did a long phone interview with him once for my podcast, he's a really cool guy!
There is a lot of great music out there from the past and I'm glad that I can find so much of it on YouTube these days! I enjoy adding a song to these posts and I'm glad you and others are liking some of them! 👍🎵
