I have moved all my content away from the now centralized and controlled Steem blockchain to the decentralized Hive blockchain.
I am uploading actifit reports since 40 days and have also accumulated some tokens (not as much as you). This app and the idea behind it has such a great potential and I am very glad that I can be part of it.
There will always be people who try to cheat. I think, GPS-tracking (and/or pulse monitoring in combination with a fitness wearable) will make it very difficult to cheat.
But who would agree to share his/her location to the steemit blockchain where everything is visible forever ? It's absolutely nonsense.

Well if you cheat on something like actifit then your not only cheating the community but also on yourself..
That's pretty much what the founder @mcfarhat has said in an interview recently. It just doesn't make a lot of sense and he feels sorry for those doing that. People can go somewhere else if they want to cheat and don't bother themselves with Actifit for that. I wouldn't want to to attach my phone to the fan all day long just to get an upvote under a Dollar and 100 AFIT token promises. But legitimately earning that gives that a totally different value and make me feel good about myself because I know I have done something far more valuable for my body than any token.

Well right now I'm just holding my smartphone in my hand and if I move it a bit (which happens a lot while writing) the counter gets up. So cheating happens here on a regular basis.

I don't see that as cheating at all but rather as a feature. To get 5k points you have to shake quite a bit and fulfill the intended idea fully. Cheating is rather when you put the mobile phone on your dog or something weird like that.
None would do it because dogs can break smartphone

I'm using the app for a month and a half. It works like a charm :). Didn't think about the possibility of cheating, since it is really stupid thing to do if you want to be active. But of course bad players are out there, and some form of protection from abuse is welcomed for everyone who are actually supporting the project.
You are very convincing, flauwy. I have heard of this app so many times and intended to check it out. Now that it’s on iPhone I think today’ the day. Nice on the delegation algo too.

I have already delegated to actifit @flauwy but was thinking more in terms of Steem payout rather than the future tokens.

Maybe I should delegate some more but I have relatively little SP as it is and it's difficult to know whether I'm better off keeping it for use on Steemit.
I'm pretty sure I read some advice somewhere that it was good to try and get to 5000 SP before you tried to help others. (Not that the delegation is helping others in this case) but it would be draining my own SP.
The "financial" side of things here is still a bit of a mystery to me. 😂
Actually, I think the deal is really good: If you delegate just 100 SP then you will get about 85 AFIT tokens per day. I see you have about 2k SP available. It doesn't make much of a difference to delegate some of it away.
Yes, it is good to grow your own account. But that is something you are doing with that as well. :)
