My Actifit Report Card: October 1 2018 - The Gate Was Locked / Short Staffed At Work

Today was an interesting day, went for our usual dog walk route only to find the gate at the school now has a lock on it. Didn’t stop Jerry or I from getting in from the other side 😆, figure it’s to stop the kids from going and smoking in the bushes. Added about 15 mins as I literally had to bush wack my own path total of about 35 mins this morning. I just enjoy something about the view, maybe it’s the rock face over looking he School, can’t put my finger on it.

Work started at 11am today, we were a man short. Had a rather busy day for being short staffed and made it so all of us had to continuously move at a rather quick pace. I was doing panning and setup in the morning then after lunch I took over dividing to make sure we get done at a decent time.

The evening walk with Jerry was refreshing, dark already and we didn’t see a single person out. I like not having to worry about Jerry passing people with him off leash. We went to the park opposite direction from the school, turned out to be a 45 min lazy walk as Jerry wishes to sniff everything! The walks are for him so he decides the activity level and usually direction.

I am indeed glad, and proud of every step I get to take! I have the same issue, I have a very busy, mainly seated job, and I have 3.5 hours of commuting to do. When I get home, I am deadbeat. I will take up running or fitness in the coming weeks though!

It ends up being one of those weird I’m tired but I can’t sleep situations for me.

I am kind of lucky my job keeps me on my feet all day as I would most likely be overweight otherwise. 😅

When it comes to being active just don’t think about it, do it and see where you get to. When it becomes a habit you will long for it when you don’t get the opportunity,, it’s like training your body what to expect.

True, that's a great tip indeed ;-) My first activity of the day now: coffee!!!! But taking the stairs to go there ;-)

Nearly 20K steps! Not to shabby @d00k13! Walking the dog seems like lots of fun! It helps to have an adventurous member of your family doesn’t it?! 😁

My dog is definitely a huge encouragement to be active, he’s usually one of those dogs that just does not stop moving. Though I would say I am the more adventurous one he usually follows my lead when encountering new situations, he is a rescue and is still getting over some of his fears.

It's great that our pets can teach us about how to do life... I'm sure watching your dog overcome his fears and do new things is both entertaining and inspiring! They say that an adventure is called an adventure because you don't know how it's going to end... I have always liked thinking about cardio in this way... I always tell my clients that, "Cardio isn't anything to be afraid of. Cardio is just going places you have never been and doing things you have never done with fun, friends, and intensity!"

Oh exactly Jerry I consider to be my therapy dog he definitely does help me overcome many of the challenges I face on a day-to-day basis and his growth becomes my own through his excitement.

The other thing I like about dogs 🐕 is their unconditional love and respect... In a social media connected world us humans are often way to hard in each other and on ourselves. So this is another thing pets can teach us. How to think Healthy thoughts about ourselves and the people around us. 🤔🙂

That they definitely can do, humans are just too finicky with such temperamental emotions and character traits clouding our positive judgements.

Thanks bud, not certain the #autimaticwin is for me lol, my activity comes from a long day at work not things I set out to do. For me it’s just time that’s the constraint, every moment I am not creating something is a missed opportunity to earn and interact.

Yeah! All good @d00k13. I understand but of course I’m still glad I officially invited you! 😁

Life’s all about choosing your priorities and then living with the positives/negatives of those choices. Working out definetly has its pros... but if you consider carefully it also can appear to have a couple draw backs especially when you consider the finite aspects of time.

Time devoted to one thing means time away from other important things... That struggle is very real!

But, personally, I consider working out to be more of a multiplier. Rather than operating within the constraints and increments of time I believe it enhances and compounds many aspects of my life. I may not always have a lot of time to devote to my health and fitness be it 5-10-15 minuets but I’m always trying to be intentional by setting goals that inspire and move me.

I have a go big or go home mentally it seems, so when time allows I will hit it as hard as I can or I just don’t bother as I’d be unsatisfied with my results.

That said tomorrow morning I am going to try accomplish the #autimaticwin, illl set out super early for a hike and record the whole thing. I hope to make the win post from the top of the mountain thus I should make 20k before lunch also.

I’ll have a DTube vlog coming shortly after my hike and the post from the mountain top I’ll make sure I give you a giant shoutout in both for encouragement!

Then I’ll also link the vlog in my activity report card after I cross post it to YouTube officially starting my steemit promotion on MS.
