My military inspection day 2 - Physical fitness test

Today we had to get up at 5:30 in the morning. Since I went to bed at 21 o'clock, that was no problem. I had a quick shower and got ready, because we had to be ready at 6:10am.

Then we marched to breakfast and afterwards we marched to a lecture of a captain who explained us a lecture about the barracks and the training and tasks of paratroopers.

Now "finally" the sport test was announced. We marched to the gymnasium, changed our clothes and warmed up. Afterwards the individual disciplines were explained to us again which were tested.

And then it all started. I will simply show you my results and write something about them:

obstacle parkour:
It was a so-called box boomerang run. Unfortunately I can't show you a picture, but you had to jump, crawl and run curves alternately. I was well positioned with a time of 12.5 seconds. Unfortunately I don't have any values for this run, how good that is, but compared to the rest of the troop it was fast.

Pull-ups:
Afterwards it went almost without break to the pull-ups. Here I made 13 repetitions, which is already a good value. The record today was 18, but most of the People did below 10.
At the repetition the chin had to be lifted over the bar and held short; the same for the complete hanging out.

4x9 meter run:
In speed disciplines I was always good, but here the slippery ground made it difficult for us. We had 2 tries. In the first run I had needed 9.5 seconds; not worth a good one, but I also always slipped 2 meters further than necessary.

In the second attempt, I just slowed down 2 meters earlier and let it slide so that my foot touched the line. With now 8.6 seconds I reached the highest possible score.

Situps:
The rules are simple: as many situps as possible in just 40 seconds. The feet were held. With 42 repetitions I achieved the highest possible score again.

Standing long jump:

With only 168cm size this is a discipline that works against me. I have to make up for the lack of size by using the fast force in my legs. There were 3 attempts for this.

In the first attempt I jumped about 2,30m. Frighteningly bad for my circumstances...

I suppose my legs were already slightly acidic and exhausted. My regeneration after high load is not so good, I must work on it really.

In the second attempt it was at least 2.43m which was still shit.

In the third attempt I took all my strength together and could lay down at least 2.57m.

I'm not quite sure, but with that I should have 5 out of 6 possible points.

I have to train that again more specifically. Both with fast strength and maximum strength training of the legs, as well as a better technique. I owe the last jump more to the technique.

Push-ups (German army special version):

Here the strength endurance of chest and triceps was tested.

In 40 seconds you should do as many repetitions as possible. However the hands had to touch each other behind the back and in the highest position one arm had to touch the other.

Here I suffered my first bitter disappointment. At home I managed 24 pieces and today I wanted to show at least 24. Out came only 20 and 2 of them were not recognized, because the hands apparently did not touch each other.

So I had only won 3 out of 6 points. Really bitter...

My body has already made from the tenth repetition weak and you can see that in the result. I definitely have to do something about it. The problem could be the regeneration after loads in the anaerobic range. I see my greatest weakness here, although the subsequent coopertest sees it a little differently.

Cooper test:
At the end there was a 12 minute run. During this time a maximum distance had to be covered.

My goal was 2801 meters.

I really gave everything and did a bad sprint, but in the end it was 2785 meters, which were rounded up to 2800 meters 😭😭😭

Thus extremely close to the highest score for this discipline.

The rest of the day I summarize briefly:

  • take a shower
  • lunches
  • more lectures
  • dinner
  • celebrate with the boys

Tomorrow I'll get the results of the sport test, then we'll look further.

Now I go to sleep, because I have to get up again at 5:30 am.

Woow...so it's on?! Dude, best of luck, I'm surprised you're managing Steemit there...Hah crazy that you actually placed better in the run than pullups. But amazing number on both...it's just interesting as you've started regularly running just lately or? And gymnastisc was ur passion for years or?

Before I did gymnastics I played football for 8 years. Maybe my body still remembered a bit of what it means to have endurance ^^

And the last 4 months I did pretty much cardio, but mostly Aerobic energy supply. Need to train the anaerobic more now so that the body copes better with lactate

I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you describe the pushups, they sound a bit like Russian army pushups.

Yeah, armes forces it will be now ^^

You start at the ground with the arms behind the back. Than hands on the floor, push up and at the highest point you have to touch one arm with the other hand before you go down again and put your hands behind the back again.
