Elephant - Landscape with Acrylic / Digital.

Hello artists and art lovers, I hope you are very well!

This week I went out to the square in the afternoon, leaving the cave has helped me a lot and some ideas that I have been carrying out in my little agenda have come. This drawing has been one of those fleeting ideas. The main idea was a landscape by day, a sky with many clouds and a beginning of sunset, all this inside a great elephant [here there are no elephants but I like them a lot ...].

2.jpg

I made a scribble of what I wanted more or less on the agenda at that time, when I got home I made the most detailed sketch of the elephant and set out to make the landscape on the canvas.

1.1.JPG

Acrylic paintings were my companion that night [I liked using that material] I started from the bottom up, combining various colors from brown, yellow and some greens to make the earth.

2.2.JPG

The sky took a little time, I changed colors several times and the clouds, well, they are clouds they did not want them to be seashells as they had told me before, so I devoted a little more time to them.

3-3.jpg

To finish the acrylic process the last thing I have done is the tree that gives that touch of green and not so totally desert, I used several shades of green, yellow and brown.

4.jpg

I took several photos at night but the acrylic had not dried well and at night they don't look the same [At least with my XD camera ...] I waited until the morning to take a better photo. Then I passed it to PS to make the elephant that was the main point and in the landscape not much is understood.

6.jpg

I placed the sketch I had made on top of the painting and gradually cleaned it to fit the elephant.

7.jpg

To add the elephant, I only took the colors of the paint little by little, passing it through the black strokes, creating the outline of the elephant and eliminating that ugly black line.

8.jpg

I tried to make some details of the animal but without removing the landscape, I did not want to completely miss the texture left by the canvas only where the line of the sketch was.

10.jpg

I did not make any improvement to the landscape, except in areas where it is darker and lighter [with the same colors] to create the effect that the elephant is there and is not just flat.

A beautiful painting of elephant. Keep your creative work.

XD

Nuevamente agradecida por tu apoyo.

Absolutely beautiful!!!
What a creative idea to have landscape on the elephant and the use of both acrylic paint and digital!
Super cool and it is so inspiring!

Thank you for your beautiful words, they make me blush a little.

I'm being honest... so keep going!

This is spectacular! I love the final outcome, and love the documentation. You're a pro for sure, and you improve at an extremely rapid rate. Really love this one.

I dream of being professional like you, someday!!! <3 <3 <3

I try to exert myself to improve and many times I demand a little more because I think that the pace I carry is very slow, I want to create better things, my skills are going slowly but my mind wants more. XD

Thank you for your support and I'm glad you liked this.

It all depends on your definition of professional. I think professional, by definition, just means you get paid. For me, it's more of a mindset - the way you treat the customers, how seriously you take the art, etc... I still do other work to support myself. Though, occasionally, there are really good days (this week I sold 2 paintings, and all my bills are paid for 2 months... but I haven't had weeks like that in a while). I like adventure, so... the struggle is part of that.

You've definitely got the skill. If the definition is "Make $ for art" - just start selling your art, and offer your art services. I"m sure you'll do really well, really fast.

It's great that you draw with traditional methods! I love to go to your blog to see something new. I often see here links to the pages of artists about whom I did not know before and then add them to my subscriptions. ; )

Thank you very much dear @yurche for your kind words and constant support, in #Steemit there are many excellent artists, each with his talent and charisma and I'm glad that in my blog you get some of them.

I was quite embarrassed by your kind words. Thanks, @yanes94
