A quality post to me is the message that is written. The words used, the effect they have on the reader. Good should be food for thought, entertaining.
If it comes to writing text is way more important than a picture used. In most contests participants are forced to use 3-5 pictures which rarely fit and only spoil what is written.
Quality has nothing to do with a minimum of words or a template used!
If it comes to photos (contests) the quality should be good or there should be an aspect of art.
I still want to read some text in photo or art content.
I do not think and also didn't find proof that a text of 300+, 550+ or 1000+ words make better content. Most commenters do not read the text they comment on one line they read. The time spam is short and real engagement isn't triggerd by writing the same lines six times.

Each one of those Steemians is unique if it comes to what they wrote, the word choice, writingstyle. Not each one of them speaks/understands English and translators are used. Nevertheless, they are capable to show the magic of words, are entertaining and engage.
Are they all supported, encouraged? The answer is no.
The reason is not because they cannot be found but because smaller communities are ignored and talent isn't recognized. Daily I find 1 or 2 Steemians with writing skills.
It's great that newbies are given a hand, not so great that they are forced to follow steps to be accepted. What is the point if writing skills, good writing, quality is no part of it?

When it comes to quality content, I’m a fan of post that I can relate with in real life. I always hate the part where I’ve to make little research and start doing my write up… making it look as if I’m doing thesis work. That’s why I’ve always enjoyed u and @weisser-rabe post..
You ladies write so effortlessly. I don’t if it’s years of experience or is reading of books that’s that got you ladies to the level you are now but one thing is clear, I’m learning a lot from you people
There is a secret for you: I write effortlessly because I love it, I need it. It's not a task or a job...

I just share what pops up in my mind. I rarely know what I will write about I just start and write my thoughts that's basically it. It's busy in my head so I kind of ventilate in my own way. I rarely make notes unless I join something and other duties interfere. My notes are about 2 or 3 lines and if I read them I remember what to write.
At times the story is build in my head and it can stay there for a few days till I have time to write it down. I never have a storyline or plot in mind and I write while I sleep.
My hardest tasks is to write a follow up like the Enigma books and The Waterfall. With different writers it's a puzzle for me that I like to solve and I try to connect the pieces. Good for the brain, challeging but it takes a lot of hours, days.
You sound like a freewriter to me. I agree without the research it's easier to write and a plus is if it's personal it reads better to me.
The only thing you can learn from me is to ramble on. Thefreewritehouse helped me a lot and still is my destress station.
I would say: Just start. You can always delete the first lines.
Know: What you write is entertaining no matter the topic so write what fits you best.
If I can't write I get grumpy

We are all part of this platform, many small ones are a big one. Freedom of mind, in words, ccreativity should have room and be embraced. Smothering isn't the answer, rules, laws... There are always exceptions. Why not accept, let live and enjoy the richdom of words, creativity and different arts so many have to offer?
If we all were books we would be interesting, best sellers, here we perhaps count if we follow the long list with rules, if, perhaps, can be, unless we are downvoted after being ignored and joining the wrong community.
I don't see any point in not liking those I read. It sounds like discrimination to me.
We all invest, all power up (grow SP) since the minum is 50/50 (SP/earnings)

Whahah,,, it is too exaggerating about what I write, but thank you very much for putting me at that height, I will try better and not let you down, I feel more optimistic about writing fiction and again it is not about getting upvote, but mostly giving my friend like you to have something new to read.

Of course, it is a matter of when I can go to find it in the market, today we passed the toy shop, and she saw the floating duck, she said again that she liked it very much. I said OK but not today.. :)
You are very right in saying that the number of words has no relation to the quality of the post, if I remember correctly, this rule was necessary to help users develop their writing. I think this condition has helped many users to complement their good images, especially those most interested in advancing cognitively.
