🗞 Bitcoin Price Fell 11% in 24 Hours: What Triggered the Drop and What Lies Ahead?

Many analysts and mainstream media outlets including Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal attributed the recent drop in the Bitcoin price from $7,500 to $6,700 to the hacking attack suffered by Coinrail, a minor cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea.

🗞 Why do I believe EOS holds the key to Mass Market Crypto adoption?

Why does this matter? (5 points)

Firstly, because EOS recently raised over USD4bn in the largest ever token issue, to fund the establishment of the EOS bockchain as a major competitor to existing chains like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Secondly, because the EOS network has eschewed energy-wasting proof-of-work mining and opted for a proof-of-stake protocol, whereby block validators are voted on by EOS owners, and are then selected to validate blocks according to how much EOS has been 'staked' on each validator’s behalf. If EOS is successful, it could denote a significant landmark in the transition of public crypto blockchain technology away from proof-of-work, with potentially significant implications in the mid/long-term for GPU and ASIC demand.

🗞 There's A New Bitcoin Core in Town – And It's Out to Troll Bitcoin Cash

Has a cryptocurrency by trolls, for trolls, finally been created?

If not, the cryptocurrency bitcoin core (BTCC) certainly comes close. And no, we're not using the derogatory other name for the cryptocurrency most often referred to as bitcoin – the one that legendary crypto investor and bitcoin cash booster Roger Ver likes to berate.

Rather, BTCC is a new cryptocurrency, which ironically enough came about from a fork of bitcoin cash. Well, a hard fork of a bitcoin cash hard fork that is.

🗞 5 Percent of Monero in Circulation Was Mined Through Malware, Research Finds

A June 11 report by network and enterprise security company Palo Alto Networks has found that around 5 percent of all Monero (XMR) in circulation was mined maliciously.

According to the research, the mining has been done via cryptojacking, the practice of using other users’ computers’ processing power to mine for cryptocurrencies without the owners’ permission.

🗞 Western Union Will Not Add Crypto Transfer Support in Near Future, Says CEO

Western Union Co. CEO Hikmet Ersek said the global money transfer service will not add a cryptocurrency transfer solution to its services anytime soon, MarketWatch reported June 13.

Speaking at the Economic Club of New York, the head of the largest money transfer company in the world explained that customers lean toward fiat money over digital currencies because of the possibility for broader usability of hard assets like cash. He said:

🗞 Thailand Expects to Approve Five ICO Projects out of 50

The Thai financial regulator is expected to approve five ICO projects once the new regulatory framework takes effect this month. Out of 50 ICO projects in the country, only five satisfy the registration requirements set out by the regulator this week.

The market didn't drop enough to go test the support line at 1.50$. It could be a good news because it can show that the bears are losing engagement and so it could prepare a change of direction.

We have to see now if we are able to go higher than the little green line that I traced for you. If we are able to go higher, we will do a higher high which is a good sign for a possible reversal and start of a bull trend at short term. Let's see what the market will give to us but if the drop continues, keep an eye on the last support line at 1.50$ because this one is very important if we don't want go back to 1$ level.
