Upvote Bots for Dummies part 2? - Bid-based upvoting bots

in #steemit7 years ago

Hello dear friends and fellows, today I'm going to explain to you deeply how you can use the steem bot tracker app efficiently for bid-based voting bots, if you missed part 1, where I explain what is an upvote bot, how it's working.... you can check it over here:

In part 2 I'm going to explain to you witch metrics you should look at before sending your bids, the use of the steem bot tracker App to maximize your chance for profitable bids and how to avoid non profitable bids.

Overview of the Steem bot tracker App:

The app interface offer many useful information displayed in tree section:

  1. Bid-based voting post section:

I'm going to cover deeply this part in this post, you will find all the listed upvoting bots and check, in real time(sometime due to connectivity there is some delay) the bots status and conditions to send bids and many more.....

  1. Promotion Services section:

Actually we can find in this section the majors tree upvote bots (passive upvote bots) that provide guaranteed profitable bids with a very low RIO. I will cover this section in the next parts of this tutorial.

  1. Other bots section:

It's a free promotional section where you will find other upvote, resteem bots and many other services. I will consider covering the best services I used in my next posts.

The Bid-based voting post section overview:

You should go to the Steem bot tracker app website https://steembottracker.com, the bid-based voting bot section will look like bellow.

There are numerous information that we will look at closely bellow :)

Metrics & Parameters:

  • Display Currency and Include curation:

The better is to display currency as what is show in steemit to not be confused as if you chose the other options, this way you have the exact idea on what you are getting as upvote for your post. And of course never include the 25% curation. this option must always be kept off unless if you want to lose money, or if you are the only curator. Demonstration below:

display-curation.png

  • Filers & vote value:

The better is to filter to chose only bots that refund invalid bids and eventually if there is any kind of problem, this way you are sure to not lose your hard earned money. And of course bots that provide a bid API to be sure the data provided are accurate.

filters.png

You can as well filter to show bots that accept Steem for the bids if you eventually want to use steem instead of SBD(as long as you can chose SBD for your bids because it gives better RIO), and you can adjust the bots vote value as well to filter with.

For the vote value I keep it ,mostly, low to be able to bid even in small bots when it's a good opportunity.

I consider that you can use the vote filter if you want to filter the bots with the highest vote value to promote your posts.

Bellow the top 3 upvote bots by vote value to date:

bots data:

This is the most interesting part, as here you are going to analyse the data before sending your bids to maximize your chances to make profits and for that you have to understand the meaning of each provided information.

bots.png

  • Vote value:

Show the value of the bot vote at 100% vote power.

*Min Bid:

Show the lowest accepted bid by the concerned bot.

  • Max post age:

Always make sure your post age doesn't exceed what is shown.

  • Total bids:

Total bids sent for the round at this very moment.

  • Max Suggested Bid:

A suggestion of what you can send as max for a bid, but it's not a restriction.

  • last vote:

timer for the last past vote.

  • Next vote:

Count down for the next upvote round you can bid for.

  • Details:

This is a very important section that you must click before sending your bids it provide a lot information that will help you make the bid decision.

RIO.png

The RIO is the most important information. As long as it has a positive value, means your bid is profitable.

You can as well see the latest past round performance by clicking on last round.

I mostly go there after the count down to see the results :).

  • Send bid:

You can click the send bid orange button to send directly your bid, this feature use Steem connect witch is considered safe. I love this feature because it shows automatically your lasts posts that you can bid for, take a look bellow.

If you don't fell comfortable giving your master key using this feature you can always send the bids from your account to the bots, and don't forget to include the post URL in the memo.

  • Notification:

It's another feature that I love, if you allow the app to send you notifications, you will receive notifications of the actual profitable bids in your browser, 10 minutes before the count down ends.

Notifications.png

The app will ask you automatically if you want to activate the notifications during your first connection and each time you use a new browser.

It's math not magic:

I decided to create this tutorial because I has noticed that a lot of person are placing 100% non profitable bids losing money and making other lose money as well.

If you take time to analyse the metrics and parameters I shared with you. For sure you will maximize your chances to wining bids.

Conclusion:

You must note that bids often come in right before the round ends which affect the RIO, please use this service carefully. Personally I love Bid-Based Voting Bots, as it's helping me a lot to grow my account and it could for you as well.

When the market is not favorable I use to stay away and fortunately there is a good alternative that may be more interesting and less time consuming.

The passive upvote bots are most likely to be useful if you want to grow without endorsing loses and the part 3 of this tutorial will discuss the matter deeply. Keep tuned ;)
