Look At The Size Of Our Home Grown Chickens
We raised our own broiler meat chickens and partly free ranged them. One chicken breast feeds us both for multiple meals. These chickens turned out about two times the size of your standard store bought chicken.
Generally the broiler chickens are harvested in 6 to 8 weeks of age. From egg to butcher block they only live 6 to 8 weeks. We semi free ranged our chickens which gave them fresh air and exercise unlike cage raised commercial raised broilers.
Generally when you raise a broiler chicken you should slaughter them when their legs can no longer support them. Well at 12 weeks our chickens were still very strong and healthy. And they were huge.
We did not show the butchering process but we did show the meat afterward.
This should feed us for a long time.
Also home raised chickens in the fresh air taste different. There is a huge flavor difference. The texture and quality are way better as well.

didn't seem to mind when the raccoons kept killing your chickens. Never built them a proper pen or coop than the raccoons couldn't get into. It was soo sad when you constantly told us another attack had taken place. Feeding them a couple times a month and several times a year bringing them water really took a toll on you. The only deaths are from when your friends vandalized the place while I was in Manila. The police where there and took the report of slashed tents, fully removed chicken fencing and my slaughtered chickens. The police said it was HUMANS that did it. Raccoons dont leave tire tracks.

Troy, have you ever done a cost analysis on your chicken raising ventures? How much money do you spend on average per chicken? I doubt you’re saving any money overall. The other concern is your levels of neglect and incompetence with animals. You are one person who should not be allowed by law to keep any sort of domestic farm yard animals. But to answer your valid question - they cost just a little bit more than a store bought chicken. BUT they are bigger and cleaner and tastier than a store bought chicken.

Not at all. And we used NatureWise all natural feed. Not the cheap stuff. Broilers only live a short time.

That video is virtual proof that you have been lying about running the trailer and now cabin 95% “off grid”. You never had any batteries connected to those 3 solar panels and you can’t run a fridge or appliances properly on intermittent solar direct from panels via a magical extension cord. Even with 4 batteries, you’re still going to be screwed with only 3 solar panels supplying small amounts of power in winter.
