Wednesday Walk Challenge - Lamps
Wednesday walk challenge
Last week I introduced the Wednesday Walk Challenge
I walking around downtown here in Milford on the weekend and I noticed the cool variety of lamps and decided that would be what I focused on for this weeks entry for #wednesdaywalk challenge started by @tattoodjay, yes that's me and hence why I have to make sure to submit a post for it.
The Introduction post for this challenge is here and I have also included the guidelines again at the bottom of this post.

I thought this dragon style lamp on the Taylor Memorial Library building

This one was just down the road and I thought it had an old style feel to it so I went with a Sepia Edit.

Now this one i thought had a classy style and really stood out against the brick wall behind it.

And another one that has a cool antique feel to it but I had to keep this one in color, doesn't it have such a cool style with the shape and weathered green colors.

And finishing off with another old but refined looking lamp outside a little corner food store on River Street.
Wednesday Walk Guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Try and get a few shots not just one
You can look for anything in generally or decide on one subject you want to get shots of.
Try to limit yourself to a set distance or time from the starting location, say 5 Blocks, 5 Minutes walk or whatever and see what you can find in that short distance
make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join it this week please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.
Unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

This post is incredibly illuminating! Lovely selection of lamps, and I really like how you varied the angle you captured them at.
#thealliance
Thanks :), I tried to vary up the shots to make them more interesting
What a wonderful collection of lanterns! I like the dragon one the best, but I'm partial to dragons. ;)
The dragon one, was my favorite as well :)

GRRRR! I posted the following already on what I thought was your post, but it was someone else using your image. I think I put the link to that in my post by mistake too. I'll need to check that out now!
Well, finally here is my link. Enjoy the story! :-) Thanks for creating the tag. It's a good one and makes us post more than just an image or two! It's good to do a bigger post at least once a week, I think!
Thanks I saw it a place I always wanted to visit, thanks again :)
Easy to do from up your way! It's just a 5 hour flight from Boston, and probably the same from NY. People do it for a weekend from up there! Icelandair flies from Orlando only in the winter months, starting on August 31!
I know but with my lung issues I have pretty much given up flying, so I will see maybe sometime I will try again
Oh, that would make sense. Best to play it safe. You could take a cruise! :-)
that would be great for me, but my wife has a fear of boats so may never be an option
Oh dear. Then I guess you sre stuck. 😢
That was an interesting take on a walk! The difference in the lamps is fascinating. I particularly like the last one. I will post my walk shortly. It's not a recent one, but one I took last September. I had been working on the post when you announced the #wednesdaywalk tag last week, so I decided to save it for posting today!
THere was such a variety of lamps so I thought it made for a cool post
I saw your post thanks for taking part :)
You are welcome! My post was in the making anyway, so I saved it for a Wednesday release. LOL!
What a nice selection of street lamps!
Love your idea because we miss so much around us and it would be great to find more interesting objects to present.
THanks and yes thats exactly the point of the challenge and I hope more will join it ;)
