STEEM Based Forums Coming To Wordpress

As we uncovered when dealing with Steempress, there are more than 75M Wordpress sites out there. Not only are there personal blogs but companies like the NY Times use Wordpress as the basis for their websites. This means that the potential market is enormous.

Now, in addition to @steempress, it looks like forums will be added to the Wordpress agenda. This is a bit different than chainbb which we had for the first couple years on here. This is a plug in that can go on Wordpress sites. Also, unlike present forums, with STEEM, there is the ability to monetize.

TOKENBB is the new project and it was just announced yesterday. They are close to releasing an alpha version which will have minimal features to start. This is a common practice to get the application running before adding more in-depth stuff.

This will provide for moderation, something that is presently unavailable on the STEEM blockchain. Perhaps this is being established to tie directly into Hivemind when that is released since that will allow for the naming of moderators. Forums are an environment that work well when there are moderators overseeing the community and adhering to the community standards.

We are seeing the continuing addition to the STEEM platform of tools that tie this blockchain into the different applications that are already out there. We are not going to see an overnight jump from the present internet to web 3.0. For that reason, a large part of the attraction to this blockchain is for existing applications with followers gravitate their people to STEEM. This is exactly what plugins like this can do.

With 75M+ sites out there, it is nice to see tools being developed to help draw those people to this blockchain. With the announcement of HF20, if all goes well with the testnet, applications will have the ability to sign their users up. This could be enormous. Those people have the relationship with that particular site. Imagine a NY Times or Wall Street Journal turning to a plug in like this to provide their readers with economic incentive.

At this point, the most important factor for this entire industry is the development that is taking place. People want to jump ahead to number of users and marketing tactics when we are at the point of this all being set up. The next few years are going to see tools created that will allow for integration throughout the entire internet. STEEM is going to be a part of that but not if it doesn't have the tools to step into the mainstream.

We are seeing that all being created by the people on this blockchain. Many are down on 2018 because of the pricing action. I understand that but the reality is, for STEEM and the entire crypto-economy, this has been a glorious year so far. We are 1,000 times further along than we were back in January. This is something that everyone should keep in mind.

Another day, another project that could potentially have significant impact on the STEEM blockchain announced.
