In our everyday life, we interact with one another through calls, verbal one on one communication, text messages, pictures and videos usee to share moments. It becomes a part of us inevitably subjugated to this lifestyle. In essence, social media is a fore runner in Today's world. The blockchain is designed not just to stake, unstake, market captilization and all that... No! The blockchain technology is in place so we can explore the impossibilities. I wish everyone could have the mindset of seeing the blockchain as not just a platform for exchange, hodling, stacking and rather see it as an opportunity...
What do I mean?
Having a crypto as an asset is vital but having true knowledge on the blockchain is also vital. Having a coin is not the same as knowing its worth... Let's use steem as a study case.
Steem is so ideal that it more or less of flexible yet unlimited in the sense that there are so many applications you can build on the blockchain that will be of benefit (this can work in other blockchain as well). I can decide to build a sporting application on the steem blockchain and users can come stake their steem or sbd and predict which team will win or who might win the league or the correct goal scorers or how well a team will perform and it will be very effective because its not only on the blockchain but it has a major and impact.... I could also create an application on the steem blockchain that provides you with a platform to review restaurants or small canteens and talk about it in your blog. It's exciting and with and amount of steem invested in blockchain through vesting, I can reward users through the platform with awesome reviews. So in essence, there is just no end to what you can create as long as it is off value... Because value itself is indefinite.
The whole point in this is so you can get out of the box.. There's so much you can do outside that box of hodling, staking and waiting for it to boom. I've seen investors juat buy and sit on their chair with folded arms waiting for a big explosion in the crypto world. This is not really wrong anyways but wouldn't you like to explore your options... There's no limit as to which you can make use of a blockchain ae long as it is flexible enough...
The steem blockchain on one hand has given us basically major applications to make use of in the social world such as dlive, utopian-io, dtube, and so many more so its not limited to just one particular thing..
I do notice that everyone comes to steemit with the mindset of writing a short article more like whaf a facebook status would require and they would simply blog about it and to them, it feels like the main thing you can do on steemit.. Not until, they learn about steepshot - an instagram like platform for sharing pictures, Utopian-io, a platform for developers and non-developers alike with aims of contributing to the development of a project...... Dlive, a platform for online broadcasting and uploading of videos, dtube to upload videos also, busy.org, a more friendly interface for blogging, steemhunt, steemmonsters, they keep on counting so its safe to say for now, it's indefinite..
This should enlighten us on other ideas and what to do on the steem blockchain.... Today, I can make a request for pizza on the steem blockchain and someone delivers it to him and I decide to pay him through upvotes.. Notice how convenient and flexible this is... I am taking practically nothing out to give except my voting power through my vested steem and paying for services rendered.... That's why investing in steem should come as a no brainer. This is just a simple explanation of how well you can use the steem blockchain... There are so many other things not included but I'm simply painting a picture of how well you can make use of the blockchain so get yourself geared up cause we're about reaching the sky.... Taking steem high is a priority and that's what we do at steemjet, we aim at the global mass adoption of steem....
