Steem Basic Income
Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.
Still Going Strong
We are up to six pools, so your upvotes could come from @steembasicincome, @sbi2, @sbi3, @sbi4, @sbi5, or @sbi6. We currently have 1852 members that have posted within the last 28 days, and many more members that have not. Unfortunately the members that are not posting are not receiving upvotes. There are currently 9157 'shares' in the program, and it grows every day.
Delegation Bonus Shares
Existing members can receive bonus shares from delegation. For every 20 SP delegated to @steembasicincome, members will receive 1 bonus share. These bonus shares will be removed if the delegation is withdrawn. Currently each share in pool 1 receives a weekly voting weight of roughly 1.33%.
@sbi2, @sbi3, @sbi4, @sbi5, and @sbi6 are managed to target multiples (e.g. 200 shares ~ 400 SP, 500 shares ~1000 SP, etc.) For this reason we ask that members that are delegating for bonus shares always delegate to pool 1 and we will manage the SP flow into the lower pools appropriately. If you want to fill SP orders through minnowbooster's market, you are of course welcome to fill the orders going to lower pools. Please do not combine filling orders for pool 1 (@steembasicincome) with delegating for bonus shares.

Any Steemian that is already enrolled in @steembasicincome can delegate as much as they would like, to receive bonus shares. If you are not already a member but would like to delegate, please send an enrollment transaction to @steembasicincome and we will add your bonus shares at the time we process your enrollment.

Enrollment
If you want to get involved, or to increase the share of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:
Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 share in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian, it does not have to be a current member.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. We accept SBD at our discretion (usually when they're very close, or when SBD is stronger) but you do not receive extra value or any partial refund for paying in SBD instead of STEEM. If we choose to accept an SBD enrollment, we accept the entire amount. If we choose to reject it, we refund the entire amount and request you to send STEEM instead.

Keep it up! Watch for contests, too. That's a great way to grow your shares. Just ask @wonderwop... he seems to win a lot, and I think it's from persistence.
I've been very lucky @steembasicincome but you're right, I try to enter contests and writing assignments that give SBI mostly. I like the concept of getting rewarded, everytime I post my content. I like to back winners and SBI is a winner in my book.
Are you currently accepting SBD? If so there are 2 people that I would like to pay for right now.
It says towards the bottom of their article here that they accept SBD but you are not going to get any extra if the value of SBD is strong against Steem. So yeah, you can send 1 SBD and be good to go as if you sent one Steem (which is freely traded on the market here on Steemit).

Thanks. I went ahead and sent the transfers. This is the first time I did this with you guys so I hope I did it right. Both those people make pretty good content pretty often and get very little. I would like to see them get a little something for their work.

4 days is too short a cycle to assume that your upvote weight will be updated while we are still managing upvote rules manually.
When we finish developing our new automated system, we will calculate whether members have been under-voted based on delays in manual processing, and catch up members that have not received enough upvote.

Could you look at my account on the spread sheet. Looks like the posting frequency is out. On data it looks like 8 and on the sbi pages its 10.5.
We're working on a new data pull method that will provide significant time savings (one of the early pieces that is required for our fully automated system). There is a new tab (recon-auto) that it was checking first. Since there was an issue, we have reverted to using the data tab and then recon-auto as a fallback, but once we fix that it will pull from recon-auto tab and we will eventually remove the posting history from data tab entirely.

You can continue to sponsor as many people as you like. Each time, it will strengthen the portion of total voting weight that you can increase (sponsor more people to get stronger likes). Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @).
In addition, if you regularly upvote @steembasicincome posts, that will also have a positive impact on your upvote weight (stronger likes).

I've just sent 1 sbd yesterday I hope I can see the result soon , And if I see I will gladly send more to help others grow in steemit.
Thanks for trying us out. We are still developing our new system that will be fully automated. For now, enrollments are processed manually and we usually get to them within 2-3 days.

2-3 days. Yours should have been processed on Sunday, but we only send confirmation transaction on initial enrollment. Did you verify whether your count had updated in the sheet explained here?
