Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 23/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 23/12/2018

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Yesterday Steem hit $0.33 great but unexpected as Bitcoin didn't shoot up out of any norms. So either Steem was behind and caught up now or some smart investors have been buying lots of Steem. It was no secret that Steem broke out of the pattern but Bitcoin still didn't and that remains the same today. Bitcoin went from $3139 to $4145 at its peak we saw Bitcoin at the same value as on Dec 2nd, great! But this is frustrating for buyers, do they wait incase it goes back down? Or will there be a upwave that they must quickly catch before it's too late for the cheap Steem deals!. The experts btw believe that the downfall as come to its end or is literally at it's bottom so according to them we should not see Bitcoin go any lower than $2900 and so far it's been going upwards. Steem goes down a little today but expected after it nice upbump and with that move alone its already made the price of Steem bump-up alot in the market we did still see Steem at $0.33 around ⏰11.50. I believe the next few days we may not see much movement but knows Steem reached some crazy numbers while everybody was celebrating new years. So at these prices we continue on this survival mode era of Steemit.com, Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank downward causing "Steem INC" a staff reduction of %70 and a possible threat to the site. Soon after this news there was a discussion meeting. The conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs especially getting nodes running cheaper among some other strategies which will still take time to implement. The good news 👍 is with the recent development Ned said we should be able to save enough money to make it through the bear market, and while this is a great relieve we still need to actually do it and survive. Steemit INC assured us they are well on track to delivering the cost reductions for Steem nodes and moving forwards with Light SMT's, the report says that they have made good progress by already realising some of their improvements. Ned said that the priority to work on the Steem network's fundamentals such as RocksDB and SMT's is now more focused than it's ever been during atleast the past 6 months. Have you heard Steemit is in the number #1 position on stateofthedapps.com the site is a not for profit directory of decentralized applications on the Ethereum Blockchain, its used to categorise and showcase projects. SBD today rather than going down remained very steady, it still did downbump as yesterday we had SBD at $0.73 and now today its gone down to $0.71 the fall also happened like the other downbumps around ⏰01.00.
