Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 17/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 17/12/2018

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Steem started today by being very steady giving the impression that not much would change for the day since the fall. But surprisingly we have had another green result. If we look at Bitcoin we can see that it started at $3189 and at ⏰19.05 Bitcoin upwaved to $3557 which I believe could be the highest result now for the week. Does this mean Bitcoin as started rising? Nope not yet. At these prices we continue on this survival mode era of Steemit.com, Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank downward causing Steem INC a staff reduction of %70 and a possible threat to the site. Soon after this news there was a live stream for discussing what would happen going forward. The conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs especially getting nodes running cheaper among many other strategies which will still take some time to implement. The good news 👍 is now with recent development Ned said we should be in a good place for making our survival through the bear market, now we just need to actually survive and get through it. Many are left wondering about SMT's but if Steem INC doesn't produce them someone else will, there are others who are working on making this happen and it's release could be very soon. I don't think we will be having a follow up meeting with Ned. Unlike Steem which stayed steady SBD started by continuing to fall further, this took it down painfully to $0.51, we are now almost reaching that $0.50 mark, anyway after SBD's fall it started to get steady and a while later SBD began going upward's and reaching would you believe $0.57 which was very nice to see.
