Huangyao via Panoramic Mode
Most of these shots were taken with my old Panasonic camera's panoramic mode. In panoramic mode, you move the camera side-to-side, or up, or down The camera will take a succession of shots and stitch them together. It seems to do a very good job of stitching - something I miss about my new Sony A5100. The Sony likewise does a VERY good job of stitching the images together to produce a consistently exposed image, but it is much more finicky about just what it will stitch together, often just informing me, "unable to create image".

The trip to the town was very scenic.
You can't escape pollution no matter where you are in China. This was at a roadside stop along the way.
The rest of the shots are inside the city.
You can still see some hints of what they started with to restore the city. Brick walls are are restored with different styles, marking the period of construction and re-construction.
Some restaurants and hotels have been pretty well fancied up!
Inside a jiu (liquor) shop. Most of the jiu sold here was produced locally.
More of the scenery around the city.
. . . and some reminders that, in some ways, the old life still goes on within the city.
