Hibiscus Flowers

in #photography6 years ago (edited)

I simply love these plants. There is such a large variety of colours each one in various shades, as well as those with a combination of colours. Colours vary from white, pink, red, orange, peach, yellow and purple. They grow best in tropical and sub tropical climates and can be found worldwide.

Hibiscus can have as little as 5 petals, but many varieties have many more and are known as "doubles". Over the years I have taken a few photos of these versatile easy growing bushes and or shrubs and today I would like to share a few of the photos with you. Oh, and by the way, the flowers and oil are also widely used in many health and beauty products. There is even one species used in paper making.

Here are a few of the photos I have taken!

Awesome post. The only way to do great work is to love what you do. You have achieved that.

Love the white one with its symmetry.

They are stunning, we have most the colours you mentioned being sub-tropical, I did not know that certain ones are used in paper making @positivexposure

Such beautiful flowers! By the way, I really like hibiscus herbal tea and drink it daily. It's very rich in Vitamin C and other natural goodness. Have you tried it?
