One of My Favorite Snack Foods ;)
I love eating Banana Fritters (Maruya in Filipino, Sinapot in Bicol) but I hate frying.
We have plenty of banana trees at my hometown. If mom and sisters are not around I just eat the ripe ones without cooking and give the rest to pigs and neighbors. Haha!
My mom and my younger sister love to cook and sell "maruya" but me...??? I am a lazy cook and selling foods is not my cup of tea! Dad loves cooking but didn't like selling too. So, pigs and neigbors are lucky when mom and sister are out. (^_^)

Sa Baclaran siguro marami 😅 Pinsan ko sa Sucat or Las Pinas yata nagttinda turon, lumpiang togue at camote que yata parang may pwesto sa may palengke dati french fries sa mall.

Uy kinakain ko din yan maruya pero magkakatabi sila. May dumadaan dito nagbebenta pag anu kaso d n dumadaan ngaun. Haha.

Living in the province has its own benefits. This is one. At about 2pm and up, everyday from Monday to Saturday, kahit saang kanto ka tumingin, lumiko, dumaan, at magtago may nagbebenta ng banana cue, turon, maruya at inihaw na saba. May mga restaurants nga dito na walang binebenta kundi saging (Banana Republic, Sagingan).
Kaya kung nandito ka @pinay ikaw ang magsasawa. Sa dami ng nagbebenta kawawa talaga ang mga baboy dito. Wala na silang makain na saging.
Haha sakin lang swerte baboy kasi di ko talaga magawang magtinda tinda ewan ko ba feeling ko pag nagtinda ako ganyan parang hirap na hirap na ako sa buhay 😂
I love Maruya. :) I used to eat this a lot back when I was in college. Love it!
