"SP Delegation have a great social benefits for members,

But in the same time it is great responsibility.

I'm trying to be a good curator and booster for steemit. I just got 375 in sp delegation for four weeks yesterday. It was so quick! I was not ready and my power was low. So now I am letting it recharge.
This delegation gives me a 6 cent vote at 90% and a 5 cent vote at 75% and no slider. But I am close so I might get one partway through this adventure. I will probably not use it but maybe.
So here is my plan - not much different from what I was doing at one cent:
I will always look for the best reward on curation that I can get. This means upvoting posts with less than $2 reward and a good post so that maybe others will come after me.
Since my sp went from 90 to almost 500, it is not a lot. I will support good posts from little minnows if I can find promising ones. But more likely I will be voting on posts with the rep of 50 and above most of the time.
My strategy for this delegation is to increase my real sp so I can make some kind of a difference. It means a lot for me to get a vote of more than one cent, so I hope others will feel the same. I will get another delegation if this works well and I am hoping for the best.
Hi @Fitinfun, we came across talking about bidding bots. As many, I came across now of the SP delagation. I know that if I sell my vote I get only 25% back as curation. Could you give me some input on your best winning strategy? Thanks a lot.
For me - leasing sp through @minnowbooster is the most effective strategy and I do use the bidding bots but they can be hard to succeed with. I have this recent post with a lot of ideas on it for success. I hope it helps you. and I will be glad to answer any question I can.
steemit minnow tips
Thanks for the link, I did it through Blocktrades, which I found quite fair in price and faster than minnowbooster. I am now letting my SP to take a break until reaching 100% and then I will sell my night upvotes (this is the time I can not actively participate or engage other posts).
In your opinion, how profitable is to lease SP?
I looked at Blocktrades, but it was more expensive than minnowbooster when I looked.
I never really analyzed the cost benefit so to speak. The reasons I do it are to have more klout here. The bigger the vote - the more you matter. I saw an immediate difference when I got over 500 sp - not so much after that, but it still matters.
Since I self-vote my posts - there is a direct benefit.
I also use both steemengine and steemfollower and upvote as many good minnow posts as I an each day. I know how much any upvote matters when you are new here. So I can vote many posts at 3-5% and still give them some rewards instead of seeing a vote for zero.
I could never sell my votes. I vote my power down to 85-90% each day and want to be back near 100% for the next day.

Regarding the vote selling, you can put a treshold at 100%, so only when your voting power reaches to 100 they will use it to upvote another user. Since you recover the 100% every 2.4 hours there is no way they can drain your power beyond that.
Hence, you could also use a 10% (5 votes at 100% weight) and still be able to go to sleep and keep making a small profit.
You will also see you natural sp grow much faster now.
I fight to keep my power between 90 and 95% - usually it is 90 by the time I go to sleep. I would still not be able to use this.

very hard to curate profitably - i will look out for your follow up post and see if i learn enough to make me a better curator, and then consider renting SP - also please tell us who is renting SP too , i only know of minnowbooster and would like to know if there is someone else.

Renting SP is too much of a responsibility for mebecause then I had to put more time into where my votes go as you stated so I prefer to delegate SP to make other people think about it.
Currently delegating SP to the msp-CreativeBot because I like creativity. simple as that.
