BANGUI WINDMILLS
The municipality of Bangui is located in Ilocos Norte and it is known for its windmills or Wind Farm. This is the first windmill farm in Southeast Asia and first windmill project of Ilocos Norte. Because of its location, studies done by National Renewal Energy Laboratory in 1996 concluded that Bangui one of the ideal places that is suited to set up windmills. The Danish Vestas Wind Systems provided the turbines and NorthWind Power Development Corp. maintains and operates them.
The second wind farm project is located in Burgos, Ilocos Norte and this is the biggest project in the Philippines.
The Phase I of this project was completed in 2005 with 15 turbines installed. The project costs $USD 23 million. Phase II completed in 2008 with additional 5 turbines erected.
Each turbines towers 70 meters or 230 feet. The blades is 41 meters or 135 feet long. These turbines are distanced 326 meters or 1,070 feet from each other. The 20 turbines can generate a capacity of 30 MW and contributes to around 40-50% of the province's power. Each turbine has the capacity of 1.65 MW. This was a project of former governor *Ferdinand (Bongbong) Marcos, Jr.*These windmills line the beautiful windy coast of Bangui Bay standing like sentinels making it very inviting for photo taking. The winds are strong on the shores of Bangui which is perfect for these windmills. On your way to Pagudpud Beach you will pass by these wind farms, both Bangui and Burgos, and they are beautiful to behold.
Aside from wind farm, Ilocos Norte also has hydro-electric power and solar power.

Halaaa. Ang kyuut!!!! :) Naalala ko yung "Mouline Rouge" movie sa windmill. :D :D
Mas maganda pag sa ganyan na windmill sila haha! Isa sa mga fave movies ko yun.
Nice picture. I love windmills! On a trip across America to see my sister, as we drove through Kansas there were thousands of them all in huge Fields one after the other. As cool as it was to see during the daytime, it was neater at night time. Everyone had a red light that blinks on top of it. So at night time, it was like a huge field of red fireflies. I hope you have an awesome day. All of my love to you and all of yours. And may our creator bless yous.
This is one particular sight I want to see when we went to Pagudpud to spend a day at the beach. The first I went there were around 20. They added 50 more. So imagine my surprise! I was a happy kid lol! They are just fascinating. I probably can't contain my glee if I see thousands of them!

This is a contest I just joined last week. You are one of those who truly engages and this is perfect for you. At first, winning is on my mind but in the process the giving of good comments and genuine interaction won me over more. You should give it a try.
So I went and checked out the contest that you talked about. I'm not really sure if I'm eligible. I'm so something about SP delegation, and I have no idea what that means. Either way, I'll just keep doing what I do, and I'll see if I am eligible or if I went. I saw it looks like you did pretty good last time. Anyway, I hope you have an awesome day. All my love to you and all of yours. And may our creator bless yous.
Anyone who wants to enter the contest must do the criteria like commenting, posting, voting, etc. The purpose of the contest is to give good comments and interact. Points are based on those.
I hope I can explain this a bit. Steem delegation is letting someone borrow a certain amount of steem for a limited time. This will increase the voting power of whoever borrowed the steem. Here is an article I found about that.
Hope that helps :)
It does. I haven't delegated any SP to anybody. I'm assuming this means that I can qualify, at least on this issue. I'm hoping that somebody from that site will get back with me on my reply when they can. Then I will know. But thank you for trying to help me as much as you do. People like you are so awesome!
I'm sure they will sooner or later. I believe I got my answer the next day when I joined. I try to share what I understand and works for me and hope it works for you and to others as well.
😁 They already got back with me. That was quick. They seem to say that I'm okay. So we'll see. I don't understand their scoring system. It seems pretty in depth. I guess I'll see how I do.
Good going! For the engagement, I think you'll get the hang of it :) I don't bother the curation part.
What city is this.
Awesome picture
This is in Ilocos Norte, particularly Bangui and Burgos. You can pass these when you are on your way to Pagudpud or further to Cagayan @mrposyble.
I think renuwable energy is brilliant and so many countries are behind in their studies and application.
I dont know why because it is its so environmentaly friendly.
Politics and corruption, red tape and greed @sanddrift. A lot of our so called leaders visions are hindered by money. They want to benefit in the process. That's why I applaud places who made the initiative and were able to tap to renewable energy and used it to their advantage. They have progressed far ahead and we are lagging behind.
Nice..nakpunta narin ako diyan once, kaso umambon at lakas ng hangin pero maganda👍
Punta ka ulit. Mas marami na windmills ngayon.
Sana nga.. pagiipunan yan, tapos damay damay uli hehe..
Sana makapunta din ako dyan one of this days. Malayo lng kc
