This morning I wrote about initiating a position in NEBL.
At the time, NEBL was approx $1.60 and during the day it hit an ATH of approx. $2.49. At the time of this writing it dropped to approx $1.90.
NEBL is definitely showing increased trading volume and probably for some (or all) of the reasons that I stated in my previous post. As well as people viewing the coin just as I did wondering why the big gains.
The question at hand is: Is NEBL worth HODLing for its POS rewards alone?
NEO COMPARISONS?
HODLing NEO generates GAS in accordance to the block generation rate. The current estimated rate (actual) of return is approx. 8.31%. However i've seen it as low as 4-5% . GAS typically is worth less than NEO but currently the price gap is very little and conceivably GAS can exceed the price of NEO. Although I don't recall it happening.
On the other hand, NEBL staking generates more NEBL. If NEBL is worth $100 each NEBL received is $100. Most NEBL HODLers will likely restake and their HODLings will compound. Here is the NEBL staking calculator
Both NEO and NEBL provide rewarding dividends. NEBL probably is a better choice right now due to the price, but due to NEO's popularity, it has a better shot at faster price increases.

i missed the ico because i was to busy researching it at that time so i came back yesterday to buy some with my profits from ELIX . Now its up 20% already and after reading all the papers i really love that project. I will stake all my coins i bought now and see where we can go in a year :)

re: future prospects - hard to say at this point with any confidence. i know that is a shitty answer but we are at the infancy stage for the cryptocurrency market. Everyone is trying to use blockchain to solve problems in a certain sector. So along with that are some very high market caps for companies that haven't shown any top or bottom line numbers. In sum, im trying to say your question is nearly impossible to answer without me taking a wild guess.
A technical analyst wouldn't even care. He/she uses TA as their main tool. Which is why i think its used a lot in crypto, absent of financial company information. There is just little info to base decisions on. You can however read NEBL charts and be able to answer probable paths. Maybe that is a better question?
I understand what you are talking about, I myself is often asked such questions. But I guess, I just used the wrong term. I was more of referring to NEBL's importance than it's market run or success rate. Anyway, your link explains a lot. Tx :)
