Share two popular tourist spots in your country and the reason why they are so popular?

Ooty

A popular tourist destination in India, Ooty is located in the mountainous Nilgiris district. The place is located in the central region where the Eastern Ghats and Western Ghats meet. Being one of the best hill stations in India, Ooty has always a pleasant climate and many forests rich in natural resources, so many tourists come here from other districts of India and abroad.

Every year in the month of May, a festival called Summer Festival is held. A lot of tourists visit this place as flower exhibitions are held during this festival.

Also, the Government Botanical Garden, Uthagamandalam Lake, Pine Forest Visit, Deer Park, Avalanche Lake, Thottapetta High Peak, Kethi Valley, Upper Bhavani Lake, Emerald Lake, St. Stephen's Church, Mudumalai wild life Cantury Shooting Center and many other tourist spots are found in one place along with natural resources.

Tajmahal

The Taj Mahal needs no introduction. This famous building is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. No wonder people flock every year to witness its beauty. This romantic monument is found in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. In other words, the Taj Mahal is the epitome of Mughal architecture. The Taj Mahal is one of the most recognized landmarks of India. Taj Mahal is the symbol of our country.

Highlights of Ooty

Ooty is known for its many excellent tourist spots, is a pleasant place for summer vacations, offering a cool and pleasant climate. It also has many rare plants to give peace to the eyes and mind. Due to this, more people visit here.

The beautiful Ooty Lake is a tourist attraction amidst serene greenery. The 65 acre lake is an artificial lake built by John Sullivan in 1824. Originally built for fishing, the lake was taken over by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation in 1973 and turned into a tourist park.

Boat races are held on these lakes as part of the summer festival held here in May.Near the lake there is a garden, a mini train and an amusement park. The amusement park has many fun activities like haunted house, glass house and horse rides.These provide an exciting experience for children and keep them engaged. Thus many tourist sites are found in Ooty.

The full beauty of Ooty is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and you will understand how beautiful this train journey is after traveling by train.

Highlights of Tajmahal

Taj Mahal is the only place that not only Indians but also foreigners like to visit. Built entirely of marble, this building is a world-famous tourist attraction. One of the most magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Taj Mahal is made of pure white marble imported from the Indian state of Rajasthan. The Taj Mahal is surrounded by four leaning pillars. Perhaps they were built with this technique so that if they collapsed, they would not fall on the Taj Mahal building. River Yamuna flows behind this building. You can also go boating if it has water.

More than thousand tourists visit here every day from around the world . Moreover, there are records of about 50 thousand tourists coming during the holidays. According to statistics, about 75 lakh tourists from all over the world visit the Taj Mahal at the end of a month.

There is a fee to visit the Taj Mahal. Also, take a look around the marble building and see many more places. Agra, where the Taj Mahal is located, is surrounded by many other notable buildings. Major places to visit here are Akbar's Tomb, Acro Fort, Taj Museum etc. Delhi, the capital of India, is very close to this city

What kind of improvement do you think is needed to increase the visibility of foreign tourists there?

Tourism is an important component of India's economy as it is a major driver of economic growth and job creation. Tourism and tourism sector has created several million jobs including direct and indirect jobs.

But it is a concern that we are not properly maintaining the tourist attractions that are the source of that tourism. Only the beauty of Ooty in 90's is not there now many trees have been cut down and buildings have been built around 300 feet tall and 40 feet wide trees are not there now all of them have been cut and their beauty has been lost.

At the same time many fear that we will lose the Taj Mahal due to Delhi's unprecedented air pollution and Uttar Pradesh's air pollution. Built of white marble, the Taj Mahal is now changing to green in color and the stones have shifted and fallen. In this case, Delhi's air pollution is threatening the Taj Mahal even more. Apart from this, the foundation of Taj Mahal is shaking due to pollution of Yamuna river water. The attack on the Taj Mahal has not decreased even after banning all the air polluting industries around the Taj Mahal such as diesel motors and coal-fired factories.

Do you know any spot that is not yet known to everyone but has the potential to become a popular tourist destination in the future?

There are many more places to visit in India including many ancient buildings and hill station such as Thanjavur Pragatheeswarar Temple, Akshardham Gujarat and Delhi, Gangaikonda Cholapuram in Jayangkonda, Madurai Meenakshi Temple, Mysore Palace etc. Also the hill stations like Munnar, Lonavala, Matheran, Yercaud, Beach cities such as Pondichery, Rameshwaram seashores of Kochi, Kanyakumari, Kovalam are attractive places to visit but unknown places to foreigners.
