Want To Grow Steemit? Become An Evangelist For The Platform!
One of the first things I learned when I joined Steemit was that I needed to become an evangelist for this platform.
If I truly believed in it I had to practice what I preached.
So not only did I start to plan my year with the 5-500-5000 Plan, I also made the decision that the majority of the time I showed my face on other social platforms...It was to promote my content that I was creating on Steemit (and the various platforms on the blockchain).
A few examples of how I'm trying to get the Steemit message out to my followers:
I have 11k followers on Twitter and this is what they see me post every time I have something new to share on Steemit..
A tip for any social promotion I do:
- I always use images in each of my posts and have the Dtube / Dlive / Steemit logos to help spread the brands. The logos are always included in my posts that I share on social media...
I'm also sending people from Facebook to Steemit, daily....With a pic of my kid of course :)
Instagram? Same deal.....
I'm also promoting my new content via my email lists and generating quite a bit of interest from my readers. I'm asked almost daily now...
What Is Steemit?
Great Jon....You put your links up everywhere....What difference has it made?
From the email lists and various social media I've gotten dozens of people that I work with to join. We have a dedicated Skype group that talks about everything we're doing on Steemit and sharing the platform with others. (Yes I know, it's ancient but I still use Skype)
From the Twitter posts, I got my really good friend @the-sports-nerd to join and we've been discussing the potential of doing a live sports show stream via @dlive
Via Facebook I have got my 'gaming clan' interested in live streaming and talking about gaming! Yeah it's not only business and crypto in this space. Which is very exciting and today Steemit welcomed @nosyx to the fold!
Share Steemit everywhere you can!
I'm just one guy and have already brought in dozens of people just from talking about it everywhere I can. That's how I think this platform will grow. On a grassroots level as well as the massive promotions the whales have been doing.
The message is being heard loud and clear and people are continuing to ask me daily just exactly what is Steemit!
This isn't just a game changer, it's a social media revolution...And we're just getting started :)
That's a great work you're doing Jon and I'm also here thanks to you! I also wrote a blog post this weekend about Steemit and sent an email out on the same topic. Will share on FB and Twitter also. I think I'll start sharing some of the content I write here outside the platform too.
Yeah man. No idea how those Steem Cleaner accounts work. but I think you are ok if you produce the content here first and then put it out on WP for example...Not 100% sure though :(
No, I just thought on sharing on social media. Re-posting on my blog the same content would hurt SEO if only that.

Jon you have done a great job getting new people including myself to get on steemit. IF the rest of us were as good at as you are this pace would be going nuts. Keep up the great work

I believe that the potential to combine other social media aspects to drive growth here is undervalued to some degree. Talk about Steemit, sure, but also use it to display the capability you can find here.
So many ways to develop different content, uses, and potential returns from Steemit once you begin to BELIEVE in it.
The future is here to build. All it takes is action to achieve it! :)

For sure man! Keep crushing it....Just get out there, poke around and learn everything you can. Even with all it's warts, Steemit is the best opportunity in content creation right now!
