Hello fellow voluntarists, libertarians and citizens of the Planet Earth. The name that the state calls me is Joseph Langenbrunner.
Long story short, my family (my mother’s side) escaped the tyranny of another government and came to the “Land of the Free” AKA the United Communist States of America. So growing up I would hear stories from my family and read articles from the Internet that would always contradict the mainstream media. This always confused me, so I started to challenge my elders and peers. I learned to be skeptical of the media and started to form a passion for seeking the truth. The truth was the message of freedom. I started to listen to Free Talk Live, Anarchast and other freedom mediums. Last year I was voted to become a member of the executive committee of my county for the libertarian party and soon I will start to prepare for my possible candidacy for state representative for the arbitrary state of Ohio. So that when I do run for office I can communicate in such a way that I can feel confident and not feel pressured to “water down the message” just to get “votes.”
So today I will talk to you about how Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies factor into the progression of the world towards a state of freedom.
Bitcoin isn’t just about money it’s about power. Individuals who use Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies are part of a new economic, political, and social class. At the heart of our beliefs is the recognition that crypto-currencies are powers in themselves, and that they cannot be controlled by the cruel oppression of States. The “power” of a decentralized “money” system will threaten the fiat banks and shall loosen its monopoly on legal tender and the method of exchange.
Bitcoin has created a multi-billion dollar economy from nothing just five years ago. Those who use Bitcoin cannot doubt the success of Bitcoin. We know Bitcoin or other crypto-currencies (Monero/Dash) will be successful. We see its efficiency, we see its power, and we see the world that we can create with it. The governments and their central banks will not be able to compete.
Over the last few years many have invested their minds, hearts, souls, and labor into this development. The market has built the applications, and connected the nodes, and consistently worked on security to ensure the success and confidence in the market place.
Statists will do anything they can to discredit Bitcoin. These people cower to the unjust laws of their masters and follow their arbitrary rule, in the name of “law and order.” But together, united in the Bitcoiner’s belief of decentralized power, we will build a better money and world. Crypto-currency is nearly invulnerable to the wickedness of the state and central banking system, through the assurance of its privacy. Bitcoin is an open source code; so we are able ensure the privacy of the block chain. This privacy is what assures us not only of our security, but our fairness in dialog as well. We know nothing of the other parties that partake with us, except for the agreement we have with one another. Simultaneously we are building a new financial system that is based upon the principles of fairness, equality, and individual power and we are not seeking authorization to do this.
Bitcoin is not necessarily about money; it’s about freedom and what that means for our civilization today. As we are further exposed to the digital eyes of the state watchman, our natural rights of privacy are being blurred into a state of blindness. But we as freedom advocates see the light and shall not go quietly into the dark. I am seeking the light (not just sunny skies) and the opportunity to be at Anarchapulco, but where I learn from the very best and meet the many people that I’ve listened too and watched over the Internet. I want to create friendships and networks so I can implement resources in spreading not just Bitcoin, but the very fundamental ideas of freedom to my community.
