Hi, I hope you enjoy spending some time with my Achievement 5 Task 2 journey.

I use my phone for everything steemit, most times I use my browser's "as desktop site" feature, so my answers to this task's questions will be from my experience on my phone.

Steem price and volumes

As of right now, on the steemscan tool, STEEM/USD is 0.50. This is to say the equivalent of 1 steem is 0.50 dollars. Looking at the market price and volume graphs on the weekly timeframe, price is on the low and so is volume, its a good time to buy if you are into value investing, the steemit ecosystem has real value and its gaining more audience, its worth is bound to grow😉.

Latest transaction and block

The aim of blockchain is to facilitate openness, in the "latest transactions" tab, you get to view all the latest transactions on steemit. Using the type filter, you can filter the transactions you see based on transfer, comment, delete comment, account update, account update2, account claim, account create, custom JSON, vote, claim reward, curation reward, delegate, witness vote, power down and more. On the latest blocks tab, we can see the most recent blocks mined by witnesses alongside the height which I can only assume means the number of transactions within the block. It's very fascinating to see. I wonder if I can be a witness 🤔... food for thought.

Witnesses feature

By clicking on "witnesses" from the Menu, you can enter the witness page. Recall witnesses are the guys who help us users to process our transactions and safely tuck them into the steemit blockchain. In the Witnesses page lies the list of Witnesses on steemit, showing information such as their rank, status, their approval which I believe is in form of vests, the chain version they are on, price feed, registration fee and a link for voting them. By clicking on them, you can see their witness account profile and some of them have little icons next to their name through which you can go to their steemit blog page.

To vote simply click on "vote" at the end of each witness's details row,

DApps feature

Just like Witnesses, DApps are located in the menu, they are decentralized applications built on the blockchain, who's mechanism is not governed by a centralized body. Two DApps I have used and gained from are Steemworld and Steemscan, I also checked out Dtube, hopefully I will gain experience with others Appics and more in the future.

Quick Convert feature

With quick convert, steemians can independently convert from STEEM to USDT, BTC and TRX. To convert to USDT, it costs 1.11570318 USDT, to convert to BTC, it costs 0.00050181 BTC and to TRX it costs 1.00857084 TRX. With quick convert you can convert your STEEM to any of these 3 cryptos and send to an address of your choosing.
