MarketFriday - initiated by @dswigle - Siam Gourmet Market !!
Hi everyone here we are back for another #marketfriday initiated by the lovely @dswigle they just come up so quick and Christmas just around the corner. Today i was at my favorite Shopping mall the Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok which is near my work place i needed some salad things so i popped in there after work but as always it's always hard walking out of there with just a couple of things. I happen to walk pass the fruit display section and of cause they had all the new season fruit on display.....omg i said to myself and my mouth started watering up...look at all these magnificent fruits.
Juicy White Flesh Peaches.
Extra Large Green Muscat Grapes.
Juicy Crunchy Yellow Peaches.
Extra Large Black Muscat Grapes.
Awesome display you want to dive straight in...lol.
How can you walk pass these sensational sweet juicy fruits without your mouth watering up is your mouth watering up right now and don't lie.
Red Cherries.
Yellow Plums.
White Cherries.
Red Plums.
Another beautiful display of exotic fruits.
And you know at this stage i was in pain looking at all this new season fruit because i had to punch myself to get away from this section but it didn't work i needed to absorb more pain before you could take me away from this paradise of fruits.
Date Plums a mixture between a Date and a Plum i was told and such a sweet taste.
And more Yellow Plums and Persimmons.
My favorite crunchy juicy Pears.
Dragon Fruits.
Asian Honey Pears.
So after punishing myself looking at all that exotic fruit it was not only painful to look at but more painful because i couldn't afford to buy any of it because all these exotic fruits are imported and have a lot of taxes put on them so i had to walk away from there and go to the other section where they sell all the local Thai fruits at more reasonable prices.
The Durian.
The Salacca.
Varieties of Bananas.
The Sweet Golden Pineapple.
Huge Grapefruits.
The Local Rock-Melon.
And of cause the local Pomegranates which i love to juice up extremely healthy for you.
And more Yellow and White Flesh Peaches and Apples.
And the local Logons which taste like a mixture of a Pear and a Lychee.
Well there you go i hope you enjoy looking at all these exotic fruits and i didn't get you to wet up....lol.

Hi Angelo!! @hangin I don't even know where to begin with this post. It is such an amazing array of color and texture and shape and oh my gosh! Everything is incredibly delicious-looking especially those exotic fruits in the Paragon Mall. I know you had to go to the other section but sometimes that's okay too. The local fruit looks plenty good and it is more reasonable which is a huge Factor.
The durian is always an interesting fruit that I have only had once and I can remember not liking it very much but somebody told me that I was eating it wrong, whatever that means. I think it had something to do with how ripe it was you do have a vast variety of bananas and yummy that pineapple is something I want to take home with me. Not sure I've ever seen grapefruit back bag and normally they are not green here but I believe that the color comes from a wash before they are put out t'market.
The local rockmelon is exactly like what we call a cantaloupe or muskmelon. It has two names I do love your peaches and I just love how everything is displayed so beautifully it makes you just want to gather it all up and take it home I am incensed by the logons... those I need to try and you are asking me if I enjoyed looking at these exotic fruits? Hello? I'm just about ready to hop on a plane to Thailand just for how beautifully they present everything.
Thank you for always presenting me with a fabulous Market Friday. It is much appreciated that you take the time and effort to put one out and that you link me so that you are easy to find. I hope you have a most wonderful day and weekend.

Tip!
Definitely a very colorful and tasty section but yeah at $20 US a peach i will stick with the local fruits. The Durian has always had many different opinions from people who have tried it and not liking it and i suppose everyone to there own taste but as you said and i said eating to ripe does not go down to well so i found eating it when it's only half ripe i found it tasted better to me because of the crunchiness of the fruit.
Actually the rockmelon they call that the cantaloupe over here. I agree the way they present it i just wanted to dive in bag it all up and run of with it all.
Thank you again for your lovely comment and Tip much appreciated :)
So have you booked that ticket yet :)

some of your fruits I have never seen in the Israeli market. there is no durian at all, and what is the salaca and some more fruits, I do not know at all. we have also started the season of pomegranates since September. we have 15 euro per 1 kg of pineapple. so we do not buy them yet. Peaches this year are also expensive: the price is below 2.5 euros per 1 kg and does not fall. last year it was possible to buy for 1.5 euros. I'm glad that you have the opportunity to buy local fruits and enjoy them. Enjoy your weekend !!
I am telling you ...you need to book a flight over here and have a feast on all our fruits over here with 15 euro i can eat a abundance of fruit all week...how can you even afford to eat fruit at them prices your salary would have to be really high to enjoy the luxurious over there...lol :)
Well have a safe and enjoyable weekend :)
you're right! salaries here are high compared to yours: from 1,000 euros to 3,000 euros. but we pay $ 1,000 a month for an apartment without utilities. my husband has long wanted to come to your country - she is very beautiful, as our friends told us. but unfortunately a long time to fly by plane. Thank you! and you, too, have a nice weekend !!
WoW that is high salary i may have to come and work there for awhile and just live in a shoe box so i can save lots...hehe .
Thailand is definitely a beautiful amazing country to visit i can appreciate it's a long way but you can always break the journey up and make a real holiday out of it.
They are beautifully displayed!! Loved the post and photos but I could do without that durian..ugh! ;)
Thank you @deerjay actually i found if you eat the Durian when it is just a little over half ripe it taste a lot better like eating cashew nuts and it's crunchy i can eat it that way only not when it's fully ripped up :)
You're very welcome @hangin! I will leave all the durian to you..lol! ;)
Your so kind thank you @deerjay :)
