Hi, I'm generalizethis
I'd include a pic, but that's not happening. I joined steemit after reading smooth's continued support of the project on BCT. I love the arts, technology, and old movies. I have a particular interest in analyzing poems, songs and movies for underlying themes or what Zizek defined as Theater of the Virtual (think the loosely hidden symbolism of Godzilla movies after the Hiroshima bombings--a giant fire breathing beast rises from the ocean and is bent on destroying Japanese cities, usually it's more subtle, but you get the point). If you ever have something you want analyzed or a song or poem that you'd like read, just ask. I can't guarantee anything, but I'm pretty good at getting the meaning out of something unless it requires special knowledge or specific information the artist left out of the work--a good example of something I can't crack is Filter's Take a Picture; unless you knew that Larry Flint (of Hustler fame) got the lead singer so drunk on a plane that the singer stripped naked and almost got arrested, it's doubtful you could even guess the meaning of the song, let alone feel confident with your analysis. That's me, dork poet extradonaire.
