Checking In On Steemit

I last wrote about Steemit on March 10.

STEEM was on fire at the time, doubling from $0.27 at the beginning of the year to $0.54 at the time of the writing.

We’re back down to around $0.33. Let’s see what Steemit has been up to.

The news that has me excited is that Steemit launched its first Twitter ad campaign.

They are running two ads.

The first is intended to spread awareness of the fact that steemit.com now sells ads. Selling ad space makes more funds available to the Steemit team for the purpose of making steemit.com better.

The second ad is intended to spread awareness of steemit.com as a place where genuine conversations are taking place within a vibrant, and real, online community.

The other news is that Downvotes have been added.

This was a change overwhelmingly approved by the community.

    If you look at the Steem 24 hour trade volume, which is very anemic and has been, no one in the larger crypto world gives a crap about whatever good things are happening with Steem. The market is voting no confidence. Now how or who is going to turn that around?

        If the forward progress keeps up the price will rise naturally overtime. No one should be worried about 33 cent steem 😊
